My friend, you know God is there, but you do not know Him. The only way to know Him is to spend time in His presence and through His son, Jesus Christ.

I trust God because I KNOW Him. If you really KNOW Him, you KNOW that the Bible is true.

Even if you had money for a space craft, do you really think you could take it to heaven if it was not God's will?

Seek Him and He will draw close to you - which is what He wants to do.

Your question shows great wisdom. You are right to ask these questions. The Bible is the true and complete word of God. The original manuscripts were perfect and without error. All that remains from antiquity, however, are copies of those manuscripts. The good news is that great care has been taken to verify that the manuscripts we have are as accurate and trustworthy as possible. Take, for example, the New Testament. There are approximately 25,000 full and partial ancient copies. Some of these copies date to within 30 years of Christ's resurrection - far too short a period of time for errors and myths to creep in. We also have approximately 32,000 letters of the early church fathers that quote from the original manuscripts. We also have some 64,000 early church lectionaries that contain scripture quotes. Here's the important part: Among these more than 100,000 ancient sources there is little or no difference between them. That is, a word here or there is different, the order of a couple of verses might be different, BUT NO MAJOR DIFFERENCES ABOUT DOCTRINE, LAW OR PRACTICE EXIST! This is huge. This means that when we look at the ancient manuscripts we can trust that what they say is so close to the original as to be virtually guaranteed. They are reliable beyond a shadow of a doubt. We can use a similar proof regarding the Old Testament. Both have demonstrated themselves to be reliable beyond a doubt. Given that the oldest manuscripts are usually the most reliable, the best way to really know what they say is to learn to study them in their original languages. For the Old Testament that would be Hebrew. For the New Testament that would be Greek. Most seminaries are good sources of instruction in the ancient languages. You might consider studying that way. If you're like me, however, going to seminary is not an easy thing. The second best alternative is to study the Bible using at least two modern translations that have been done using the oldest, most reliable manuscripts available, and supplement this study with commentaries by Bible scholars. When we compare the verses between 2 or more reliable translations we get a unique perspective on what the original manuscript was trying to say. The New American Standard Bible (NASB) is a close word-for-word translation of the original languages into English. It is considered one of the essential translations for serious study. It can be difficult to get the exact meaning of some passages, however, since the content is given priority over context. The New Living Translation (NLT) is what I call a "thought for thought" translation. In this case, the translation team sought to take into account the context and the "thought" behind each verse and put the thought into modern English. This is a very easy to read translation that I like to use for personal study. The New International Version (NIV) and English Standard Version (ESV) are somewhere between the other two in terms of their translation approach. All are reliable. In many cases, their renderings of verses are identical or nearly so. In some cases, they are different. That's why I think it's important to look at 2 or more translations of a particular verse as we try to extract God's intention from it. The KJV had a few mistranslations in it. We have discovered older and more reliable documents since it was created, so I tend to not use it as much. The New King James Version (NKJV) fixes the problems and can also be relied upon. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please e-mail me. I would be happy to help.

Bible was the word of GOd, but over time people corrupted it to fullfill their own desire. YOu need proof? Well there are around 200 different versions of the bible avaible on planet earth and on priest will tell you that no two are identical. If the whole bible really was the word of GOD, there really should have been one bible.

Plus a word of God cannot have scientific errors. Lets just analyze the order of creation given in Genesis. Here it goes.

Day 1: Sky, Earth, light
Day 2: Water, both in ocean basins and above the sky(!)
Day 3: Plants
Day 4: Sun, Moon, stars (as calendrical and navigational aids)
Day 5: Sea monsters (whales), fish, birds, land animals,
creepy-crawlies (reptiles, insects, etc.)
Day 6: Humans (apparently both sexes at the same time)
Day 7: Nothing (the Gods took the first day off anyone ever did)

You notice that the Bible says that the Sun was created on Day 4 and the earth on Day 1. How can that be. We all know today that all the planets in the solor system were made of the left over mass of the sun.

Second, the whole solor system cannot be made in six days. It took millions and billions of years.

Third, how can the plant me made before the Sun. Plants needs sunlight to survive and life cannot exist on earth without the sun, let alone even for a single day.

The Quran on the other hand is in complete harmony with modern science. All i wanted to say is that the true word of God will never have scientific errors.

If you feel something is missing, perhaps you could read the Book of Mormon as well. It is a third testament to the Bible, and it tells the stories of the people who lived in the Americas during the same time as the Old and New Testaments (the whole Earth was populated, not just the Middle East)... I felt the same thing you do until I read it and then felt my soul tugging at me. The truth resonates in your soul. If you don't get anything out of the Book of Mormon, try the Koran or the art of Qi Gong. One way or another, you will know!

The inter testimony of God's Holy Spirit, is the most certain, however the Bible:can be observed to be the Word of God in 'the heavenliness of the matter, the efficacy of the doctrine, the majesty of the style, the consent of all the parts, the scope of the whole (which is,to give all glory to God), the full discovery it makes of the only way of man ’s salvation, the many other incomparable excellencies, and the entire perfection thereof'.

The bible proves itself. One example: After Jesus died on the cross all His disciples went back to what they were doing before Jesus came into their lives. They thought when Jesus died that was the end of all Jesus said and taught.
Only one thing could bring these disciples back into the faith they once had. Only one thing could make them risk their lives to preach Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus Himself would have to be resurrected from the dead and show Himself as alive to the friends that knew Him best.

Plenty more examples. This is just one. Not enough time or room here for many more.

simply get on your knees ask GOD to help your unbelief and help you to receive JESUS that one day you will go and live with JESUS.

Matthew 7[kjv]
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

we will find GOD when we search with all our heart.

Jeremiah 29:13[kjv]And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

JESUS loves you.Have u recieved JESUS for the forgiveness of your sins?

John 3:16[kjv] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with the blood JESUS shed on the cross.

With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

"The taste of the apple is in the eating!"
That saying applies also to God's existence. You are lucky that you have 'taste' the presence of God. What else?
Doubting what you've already experienced will lead you to rejecting God.
If it is impossibe for you to reject 'apples', consequently you ought not reject God, right?

You've asked 2 questions:
1) How do you know there is a God?
2)How do you know the bible is the word of God?

In answer to your 1st question, anybody who says there is no God is just not thinking straight In your brain there are 100 billion neurons. Each one of those neurons(remember, there's 100 billion of them) is connected to 1000 other neurons. That comes out to 100 trillion connections in your brain. These connections send electronic signals(and you can measure the electricity) from one place to another. If part of the brain is damaged and you lose some function that is controlled by that part of the brain, the brain can actually re-wire itself and let other neurons in the undamaged part of the brain take over so that you can get back that function. That's only the connections in the brain, not the rest of the body.
Our bodies also have tons of information in the DNA. You have enough information in your DNA to fill encyclopedia sized books stacked from here to the moon and back 500 times. Do you really think that came about by just random chance........kind of like a monkey typing out the works of Shakespear just by randomly plucking away at the keys?

You need to step back and look at the big picture of what is being claimed by evolution, namely, that the unbelieveable complexity of the human brain(not to mention the rest of the body) is nothing more than re-arranged pond scum. It’s pond scum from the original prebiotic soup re-arranged over billions of years into 100 trillion connections in the brain by luck…..just random chance.
The universe obeys certain rules-----laws to which all things must adhere. These laws are precise and many of them are mathematical in nature. Natural laws are hierarchical in nature; secondary laws of nature are based upon primary laws of nature, which have to be just exactly right in order for our universe to be possible. There are one billion trillion stars in the universe. Not 1 trillion, not 10 trillion, not 100 trillion but 1 billion trillion stars. Yet there are great distances between each star. The closest star to our sun is proxima centauri. It is 4 light years from our sun or nearly 6 quadrillion miles. Yet this unbelieveably large universe operates with such perfect order that we can predict the very day and the hour and minute that we’re going to have an ecclipse 1000 years from now. There are constants(gravitational and cosmological and others) in our universe which must be exact within infinitesmal parameters in order for life to exist(that’s called the anthropic principle). But, where did these laws and constants and great order come from and why do they exist? If the universe were merely the accidental by-product of a big bang, then why should it obey orderly principles----or any principles at all for that matter? Since when does order come out of an explosion? Chaos comes out of an explosion. By the way, what, exactly, did explode? There was no matter there to explode before the big bang since the big bang is the start of all matter and energy as well as the 4 dimensions(3 dimensions of space and one dimention of time). The atheist cannot account for these laws of nature(even though he agrees that they must exist), for such laws are inconsistent with naturalism. Yet, they are perfectly consistent with the bible. We expect the universe to be organized in a logical, orderly fashion and to obey uniform laws because the universe has a creator God who is logical and has imposed order on His universe(Genesis 1:1).
As far as your 2nd question is concerned, the Bible has the signature of God attached to it in many ways. One of those ways is Bible prophecy. The old testament has 333 prophecies about the first coming of Jesus Christ and 456 specific details about his life(all written between 400 and 2200 years before he was born). The 4 gospels in the new testament(Mathew, Mark, Luke & John) tell the story of Jesus. Had those 4 gospel writers chosen to not write their gospels, we could still have re-created the whole life of Christ just from the old testament(all written before he was born). In fact, that is how the christians preached the gospel in the first 20-30 years after the death of Christ. They preached it from the old testament because the new testament was in the process of being written. The story of Christ is all there in the Old Testament including some details about His life that are not even mentioned in the New Testament. Man sees history like a person sees the Rose Parade sitting in the stands. The floats that have already gone by him are like the past. The floats in front of him are like the present. The floats still coming are like the future. These prophets in the old testament who wrote about Jesus Christ seemed to be able to see history the way you would see the Rose Parade from a helicopter. They seemed to be able to see the end from the beginning. That tells me that though they were writing these things down the info was not ultimately coming from them but from a higher source because man simply doesn't see history that way. Also, the bible has amazing knowledge about many scientific principals long before these principals were discovered. Seventeen times in the old testament the bible says that God is "stretching the heavens". For thousands of years bible scholar struggled with what that could possibly mean. Then in 1929 Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe was expanding. The bible told us that long ago.
No other religion or Holy Book has this kind of knowledge. All this tells me that these prophets in both the old and new testament were not nutcases but true prophets of God.
