I have a question for those who do not believe homosexuality is mentioned in the bible... Please explain to me what these two versus mean then:

Romans 1:27-32
Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due... knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

and Leviticus 20:13

13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

I believe the bible goes against gays, but I don't try and judge persecute or hate them. Jesus teaches us to love and show compassion and while I can disagree with what they are doing I can still act Christ like toward them as should other Christians.

Why is it so wrong to have sex before marriage if two people truly love one another? I understand you have to go through the church as a way of connecting the vow with god, etc.

What if a virgin boyfriend and girlfriend get stranded on a deserted island and are forced to live there for their entire lives away from human contact? I guess they can't have sex or they will go to hell Huh.

nothing but religion and how to read their bibles?????? I know someone who is a highschool graduate whos never taken any math, science ect Infact at 30 years old he thinks if you brush your teeth after having oral sex you cant get an STD I think this is ridiculas NOT AT ALL HIS FAULT but his parents should be jailed????? but imagine there are entire school like this????

a popular black cable network (you know the one) has a posted forum on it's website, alleging that light-skinned blacks will be found more appealing (physically) than dark-skinned blacks.
am i in the dark here? i mean why are we still talking about things like this amongst ourselves in 2007? shouldn't we make a better effort to build and not destroy? it just seems to me that stories and studies like that only further perpetuate stereotypes and negativity within the race.

If God put you on Earth for a purpose and knows what will happen to you, knows your whole life before you even exist, doesnt that basciall mean he controls you, i mean he put you here for a reason, so doesnt that make sense that he choose you to live a bad life and that you go to hell before you even exist, or that you are good and go to heaven.....wouldnt that mean you really have no control where you go since God already pick that for you and the type of life you will live.

This is what the Bible says:(Mat 22:30 DRB) For in the resurrection they shall neither marry nor be married, but shall be as the angels of God in heaven.

According to Scriptures there is no marriage in heaven.

I am a Christian belonging to the Orthodox Syrian Christian Church and a Roman Catholic Priest of a nearby church sensed that we were in financial doldrums. So he thought of a ‘faith-hunt’ to which we were the targeted victims. His idea was to amass divine blessings by converting a Syrian Christian family to a Roman Catholic Christian family - a different division of the one and only Christianity. He promised my father good education for we, the four siblings and later decent jobs using their mighty church influence. My father showed him the way out with dignity and advised us that conversion is an unnatural indulgence and we should never encourage it. Further this particular Roman Catholic Priest was trying to convert another Christian Priest of a different denomination to a Roman Catholic Christian Priest. Can't we call it homo-conversion?

firstly i like to say how SOME of you are cruel, and very unchrisitan like to the homosexuals out there, straighten up.... dont be evil like satan...

my question: if there have been reports and proof of homosexuality in animals, how can you say that its not a genetic thing....? there were cases of two gay swans recently...

i know that some of you will say that its something you need to be healed from, but didnt god create your tiny brain from conception? or is this satan's work too?

Okay, I know there must be people on here who can help me. I have a new boyfriend who is Jewish, and I (being Christian), don't know much about the beliefs or traditions of the Jewish church (other than the very little that I remember from elementary school that focused on certain holidays)...can anyone help me to learn more about the Jewish traditions? I love to learn about different religions, and I would really like to do some homework before I meet his parents so that I can make certain to be respectful in their home.
