I have a question for those who do not believe homosexuality is mentioned in the bible... Please explain to me what these two versus mean then:

Romans 1:27-32
Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due... knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

and Leviticus 20:13

13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

I believe the bible goes against gays, but I don't try and judge persecute or hate them. Jesus teaches us to love and show compassion and while I can disagree with what they are doing I can still act Christ like toward them as should other Christians.

God Bless

I like to mention that Leviticus is in the OT and (while the OT is still true) since Jesus came and died for us we no longer require bloodshed, sacrifices, and etc… A lot of people get confused between the Old and new testaments.

Dear J

If you have checked out some of my questions and the answers I have recieved on simular questions, you will find that asside from bashing Jesus, and spouting their rights to be here and callin you judgemental, you can get frustrated trying to get a homosexual to explain their sexual orientation logically or biblically.
1st of all they cant. It is as if they have made up a God of their own. ("and they traded the truth for a lie, and worshiped the creature instead of the creator". "Woe unto them that call good evil, and evil good") Yes J, I am concerned for this country as well. ( read about Moses and Arron and when the sons or Kora came to challenge Moses, the bible says that Moses and Arron fell down an covered their heads in fear of what God might do. )

2nd of all they do not understand the idea of "bents" which to my knowledge is a term used in psychology to describe "personality traights". People have bents, ways they want to be, ways the process information. They are either encouraged by there parents inside or outside their "bents". When God said "train up a child in the way he should go..." The word was not speaking to us to teach our children a path to take, but to teach them the truth in or within the bent of our childs personality. We are to establish the truths of Christ for our children, but each child is different, some are strong willed and require physical discipline, others a stern word will accomplish the desired goal.

Parents also need to take back the authority and responsibility of Sex education of our children. Schools seems to be more and more becomming a place where educators are more concerned with making sure a 12 year old knows how to use a condom properly, and if you want to have same sex relations no harm no foul. Now lets think about that, what 12 yro knows what he or she should be doin sexually anyway.

And if you want to talk about God, or Jesus, or Pray for someone you violating the nonexistant "separation of church and state law". I hope you don't expect a straight answer (no pun intended) from some of these folks. What they don't know about Gods word going out and not comming back void wont hurt em either.

Blessing for your courage to stand up for Christ.

The state is permitted to prosecute for any crimes that a church member might commit, even if said church member's beliefs excuse the crime. (i.e.: Someone whose belief is that homosexuality is a sin punishable by death should still be charged with murder should he go out and murder homosexuals.)

Paul said it, too: Romans 1:26-32 In the same section, Paul also recommends death for those who are disobedient to their parents, liars, the ignorant, boasters, and the proud. Paul was also against marriage, sure he accepted it, grudgingly, but it wasn't something that a Christian should do unless there was no other choice.

All in all, I'd rather listen to Jesus, who at least stressed forgiveness and tolerence.

Listen people He is right the bible was written for us yes people wroyte the bible but people back then, maybe not the bible's we read, but the bible was written by the diciples, see they were diciples of God. Therefore as our good Christian friend said who made this post it was about gays. See a lot bof opeople read but miss the important parts of the bible even me sometimes, that's why we always habve to read it over and over again. But God is aklways new , never old. But for some of you, you need a new coating. God Bless you!

First of all, let me remind people that even Before Jesus, we didn't require bloodshed. This "bloodshed" was caused by stupid ego from religion. God always wants love and peace. Homosexuality is natural for some people, and if a gay couple has a loving relationship, then how come its a sin? Only in the eyes of humans it is. In God's eyes its a whole different story.

The problem is that people want to pick and choose about the Bible. Yes, Leviticus does say that, BUT it also says that they should put to death. It also says that if a man divorces his wife and sleeps with another woman, he is commiting adultery and should be killed. People tend to forget about that one since the divorce rate in this country is astronomical. And all those getting divorced aren't all non Christians/Jews. You can't take parts of the Bible seriously and not ALL of it. Are you saying that anyone who gets divorced should be put to death? If you want to say homosexuality is a sin (and I don't believe it is...I'm using others' arguement), well, divorce is, too. Why aren't people protesting as hard against divorce as they against homosexuality??? With so much hate in this world, why are people so against 2 people who are in love just because they're the same sex???? Some people are never lucky enough to find love. I say if you find it, even if it's with someone of the same sex....hold onto it!!!!

It's interesting so many people (like the first respondent) fail to see a distinction between laws of morality and laws of purification. While the purifying effects of Christ's death and resurrection for believers nullifies the need for believers to sacrifice animals and perform various rituals as prescribed in the Torah, laws dealing with morality are still very much in effect.

Homosexuality is condemned all throughout God's Word because God made sex for the purpose of procreation. Any sexual activity that doesn't fit this purpose is declared an abomination by God. This is the reason Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed and it is the reason God will bring judgment on modern day sodomites.

Q: If God loves everyone, why does the Bible say to kill all gays?

A: GOD DID NOT WRITE THE BIBLE. Man wrote the Bible to opress and miniulate people gullible and narrowminded enough to follow it

There are not many who deny homosexuality is mentioned in the Bible. The conflict is .... Did God condemn it? Did Jesus condemn it? Or did MAN condemn it?
