from what i've seen on ripleys believe or not...they use the cows pissss to bless themselves... thats a ritual they believe in... if you ask me...now i know where they get that funky smell from...haha.

Because India is a largely Hindu country. Hindu's believe that man can be reincarnated as a cow. Therefore, they do not want to kill cows because it might be a relative.

It's part of their belief system. Many Indian families have a cow, it provides all the dairy for the family. An Indian friend of mine once likened eating beef to eating a pet. If you were raised to think cats and dogs are pets would you want to eat one?
