In his final meeting with his disciples just before his death, Jesus, in prayer to his heavenly Father, made clear a principle concerning the Christian’s relationship to the world. “I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. I request you, not to take them out of the world, but to watch over them because of the wicked one. They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth. Just as you sent me forth into the world, I also sent them forth into the world.” The true followers of Jesus are, therefore, no part of this world, in that they separate themselves from its wicked ways and do not place their hope for the future in the schemes and organizations of men. Rather, their hope is in the new world ruled over by God’s kingdom and they have their interests centered on that new world. John 17:16

To feel as if you are a part of the world, you need to make CONNECTIONS.

Religion supplies imaginary friends and rules so that you feel connected. For this service, the promoters take your money, effort, time and loyalty. But it is stressful, as there are so many unexplained issues that the whole thing doesn't 'hang together' well, and since the final solutions only come after you die, religion ultimately leaves you feeling empty and as if your life has no meaning.

On the other hand, if you make the effort to connect to people, animals, plants, and features of this planet we live on and leave each one in better shape than you found him, her or it, life is fun, rewarding, and you feel as though you're a real part of the world.

Sometimes, you can feel on top of the world when connections are going well.

I feel the same way. It seems like everyone I meet likes to cut people down, trash them, make jokes at others expense and be cruel beyond belief. I just want to live and let live, find the good in others and yet everyone I meet is exactly opposite, or are excellent at pretending they are a good person. I just dont feel like I fit into this world of nastiness, back stabbing and this attitude of it being ok to bash and trash people. Sometimes I wonder why Im so different.

It's possible you aren't finding prople who feel as you do. If you can't find any, relate to animals & plants. Last night, I read an article on physorg.com that shows plants willingly make room for family members in the same pot, but not for plants that aren't family. Don't look down on the "lesser creatures," in many cases they are far kinder than humans. If even plants can make such a distinction, that leaves us with much to think about.

Maybe your very close to God,and desire to be with him.I sometimes feel the yearning to go be with him.I feel sometimes the same way,I think its normal. If your lonely that's different though,if you feel lonely just invite God into the lonely places in you.And ask him to help you be a vital part of this world and contribute to the world the way he has planed for you to do.Don't feel condemned though about it.I think to you should pray for some dear friends you can trust, that will help you feel a part.I will pray this for you as well.If you are here there is a greater reason for you then to just exist and feel invisible.Be greatly loved and blessed

Because you are probably beginning to realize that we see through a veil in this world, and that is is a fallen world. And that it is full of pain.

But someday we will see clearly and the veil will be lifted by God. There is our hope.

With 6 billion people on earth it is easy to feel lost. The saying is, "If you have one great friend, consider yourself lucky". Isn't that horrible that in today's society we can't rely on people to remain our friend throughout all of life's hardships?

I may only be a duck, but I'll be your friend.

Because you have no life and without life there is death.
Snap out of it and live, cause life is too short to play dead.
