This is to believers of any religion and non-believers alike.

Do not answer this with recourse to your current beliefs; it's a hypothetical question about what you would do when your core beliefs were challenged by a big old vision in the sky.

To clarify, she told us that all religious beliefs currently held were incorrect, and that atheism was also clearly incorrect, as here she was all sky-filling and godlike.

(and scrub the errant "to" in the question if it's confusing you)

If someone is telling me I am wrong, I argue, until I am either proven wrong, or satisfied that the other party is proven wrong. So...that's what I'd probably do!

God id the same, always. His message would not change, but mans interpretation could be wrong (that's why there are so many religions).

1) I would research and compare this message against His previous messages to every faith.

2) I would pray and discern on this new revelation compared to His previous teachings to valid if it was consistent with what He has been telling man since the beginning of time.

3) I would then either accept this message as compatible with God's teaching or I would reject this message as coming from a source other than God.

Remember, many people will come after me and say that they are me. Do not follow them!

The antichrist will be able to perform miracles so our knowledge of God will save us from being fooled.

Honestly....this will sound kookey, but.....I never knew which religion was right, so I prayed for a sign every night. And I had a dream where someone showed me how they were all wrong.....maybe had the dream because I was thinking about before bed, but it is an interesting thought....

As far as your question, If god told me I was wrong.......I guess I would say" opps, please pardon me, I'm a stupid human."

I would be neutral. I don't think that those who are very spiritual are wrong for being that way; I think anyone should be able to believe what they wish to believe. However, the vibe that I personally get from the bible and from my Roman Catholic family is that everything I do is a sin anyway.

So.. it wouldn't matter, God telling me that I'm wrong wouldn't be too much of a shocker.

We can't all be wrong. Some people simply believe in God and leave it at that. If God appeared, those deistic people would be, by definition, right. The atheists would be wrong if a god appeared, but not the most basic deists.

I'd say, "OF COURSE I'm wrong! I didn't even think you existed!"

Then I think I'd run and hide behind something, which is really stupid since he's God and all (but, hey, didn't Adam do that too?). I think that's what would actually happen at first.

After that, I'd try to have a little heart-to-heart with Him. I'm not above admitting I'm wrong.

First, I would have no regrets because I have been trying to live my life in the way that I believe is most correct in His eyes.

Then I would offer my listening ear and ask what He would have me do.

Thanks for the question. We need Q's like this sometimes to exercise our minds.

If such a thing happened I expect God to show me who was doing the right thing. so I could follow their teachings ASAP

Ofcourse this is when I have no doubts at all that this is Gods message and not some hallucination, strange prank etc.

I would ask Him so many questions about everything. I would ask Him what I can do to make it right. I honestly believe that if my religion was wrong He would forgive us.

Luke 23:32-35

Two other men, both of them criminals, were also led out to be put to death with Jesus. When they came to the place called “The Skull,” they crucified Jesus there, and the two criminals, one on his right and the other on his left. Jesus said,

“Forgive them, Father! They don’t know what they are doing.”

I'd expect an answer or two as to what God considered right....

I get pretty pissed off as it is, so if this vision came, it better deliver some goods!
