I'm doing research for a writing project and need to know if other faiths have confession to a priest or clergyman like the Catholic's do?

Not just Roman Catholics, but all Catholics must confess their mortals sins to a priest. The Roman Rite is just one of several rites in the Catholic Church. Most people in the west use the two terms synonymously, because most Catholics in the west are Roman Catholics... just to clear-up a mistake by another answerer.

Eastern Orthodox, some Lutherans, and some Anglicans also practice the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Only Catholics and Orthodox accept the biblical teaching that the Apostles and their successors have the power to forgive mens' sins. There isn't anything ambiguous about "Receive the Holy Spirit ... whose sins you forgive, they are forgiven them". But this passage is one of the many parts of God's Word that you have to ignore in order to be Protestant.

Lutherans practice confession it is not mandatory but a Lutheran pastor can hear confession

um. Buddhist i 'think'. I'm not sure. but if i recall they go to the monks and confess.

I am not sure any has but i am thinking of protestent or however you spell it. But that is it that i know of.
