all religion consists of 1 small part of truth, & alot of deception. most people r able 2 see that things aren't the way there supposed 2 b, but they aren't willing 2 lose thier faith 2 admit that they've been lied to. So, as it is with some people whose minds r kind of floating in relation 2 who they r & what they truly believe, but when asked "what religion r u"? thjey don't really want 2 admit 2 belonging 2 any of the rediculous faiths available n the neighborhood, they just turn & say, "I'm not religious, I'm spiritual" putting themselves on safer ground, even if they have no clue. to b spiritual means that one beleives n something, they just don't know what exactly that they do beleive. There spiritual. Try the truth 4 a change!!! call 325-670-9494 call abel & that will settle the matter!!!!

Spirituality covers the Holy Spirit, a part of the trinity and is the very strength, wisdom, and personification of Christ living within you after you have repented of your sins, have accepted Jesus as your sin sacrifice. It is then that you receive grace and God grants you justification where God sees you as holy.
But that also means getting baptized via immersion that represents the death of the flesh and the resurrection of Spirit after the person when we are able to see and think like God does.
It is then that you have the strength to overcome old habits like smoking.
As a former smoker, I quit cold turkey. It took me 18 years to get rid of the craving, but the Holy Spirit gave me the thought;
One day at a time, and don't take just one puff, because that one puff just might lead to your downfall.
The Holy Spirit gives you strength to do it. It is a long difficult journey for some, but in the end you will be glad you did quit.

As everyone knows, religion is one of the taboo subjects for civil conversation.....this question, on the otherhand,is borderline at best. This is solely my view on this subject, as a Viet-Nam veteran I have an intimate relationship with both. Religion is usually instilled in most of us as children,growing up,as a rule, what we take away from those experiences are the ones we tend to hold on to as adults. Religion I believe is more of a material thing. Our spirituality is closer to our soul. LATER

I think spirituality can cover religious beliefs of a connection to a deity, or it can go as far as the conscience, and how it is separate fromt he body, and that the body holds the conscience/soul.

Religion is usually an organized system of beliefs. Spirituality is a belief that there is something bigger, but is not necessarily organized or named.

I view spirituality as the relationship between the self and all that is (i.e. deity), and the self's journey to peace.
