I am a born Christian...but when I read Old Testament, I read all about people marrying many wives including their maids. Laying with own mother, father-in-law and sister-inlaw. Masturbation. Murder, jealousy, cheating etc.,....why all these things happened though God was close with them?

For those who don't know what I'm talking about...it can be anything from sports to music. For example, the Tigers are doing so awesome now--being in the World Series, and let's not forget about a great regular season. These people who wear their appearl look so dumb. I mean, I guess you can just tell who actually wears their cloths are real fans. I guess it's hard to put into words, but those who can relate know what I'm talking about. Another example is with a band, let's say Rolling Stones or ummmm....KISS (I'm not a huge fan of either band, but just giving examples). Anyways, these bands that are playing music still....you see people act like they have been their fans for years and years. I'm sure there are plenty of great fans, but it's funny when these bands or sport teams aren't in the news...neihter are their "fans"

I guess what I'm trying to get at after all this is.........isn't it funny when you can pinpoint who is and is not a "trendy fan"??

But obviously all were not wicked. It would be like the world today, many people would say we are wicked, but common sense tells you not every single person in the world is. Are you telling me God lumped all these people together and killed them all because of the actions of some. (what a dick if he did)

im sick of this crap where women dress like whores at church. if you wanna come naked...then come naked! fine. come as god made you. or else put some clothes on. not these short shorts and tight shorts and bell buttons hangin out. that is just teasing men. either come nude or come fully clothed. anywhere in between is flaunting.

an aura around a human's body? I don't mean feeling a person's aura. I mean seeing one. I used to see them glowing off of people when I was very young. The last time I have ever seen one was when I was a preteen & have not seen one since. I am 50 years old now. I want to be able to see one again and wonder why I don't.

I was found guilty of a crime ten years ago but I know I was innocent. The offence will have a lasting effect on my life. Now the college that I want to apply for wants to know the circumstances of my crime. Almost every one thinks you are guilty regardless of your story. How do I explain this to them without sounding like one of those people who proclain innocents even though they are guilty. I what my point to be heard without sounding like a guy dening what the jury found. " I've heard it said that every body in prison says their innocent" I don't want to sound like one of those.

I know Afghanistan and Pakistan are both predominately Mulism countries, but history states that Buddhism entered those countries before Islam did. I also heard in the news that in recent years anti-Buddhists blow up ancient Buddhist statues. Does that mean there many difficulties being a Buddhist in those countries nowadays? Do they get discrimmated against? Or what?

While I passed out flyers in downtown Los Angeles yesterday, a sinner got ugly and tried to analogize between God and people like Osama Bin Laden.

He felt that when God told Pharoah, Let the Hebrews leave Egypt or something bad will happen to Egyptians that compared to people like Yasser Arafat saying to Israel, Let the Palestinians have their own country or something bad will happen to Israelis.

To me these are very different questions. But I thought you on Yahoo might help me formulate a better response.

To me,

1. God is Good. His actions are without sin. The terrorists are evil. They act from evil motive. So no comparison there.

2. The Egyptians did not follow God's law. They supported the Pharoah. In contrast to cases like the Twin Tower attacks and suicide bombers, where the innocent victims bore no relation to the governments attacked.

3. God can grant eternal life to people he kills. When a terrorist kills someone unless already saved, they are just dead.

I am just curious how average Christian person lives his/her life according to God's law when Christianity does not have much laws? Is it being good and accepting Jesus is the main thing in Christianity? Is that enough?

For example for us Muslims we have our own Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Banking system, Islamic Insurance - Takaful, Islamic dietary - Halal food...etc basically everything is covered in Islam. How do you Christians deal with the new things in life? You wouldn't know if it was permissible or sinful right?

Ok here is the deal I am 30 years old and the father of 2 boys and a girl. My wife had made mentions that she wanted to be a girl scout leader and she suggested that I be a boy scout leader. I was quick to shot the idea down not because I didn’t really want to but because I haven’t a clue as to how to be a scout leader seeing how I never was a boy scout and I don’t know what they require for experience in that area. Well as I have sat here and thought about it I have noticed more and more the impotence of it to her and I guess I will start here as asking any of you that may be scout leaders what it really takes to be one and whether I had to be a boy scout in order to be a leader.

Please help!!
