I couldnt agree more.
They are finding more and more ways of delivering a poorer service, including this measuring the width of my mail just because they bought the wrong machinery.
Also what about these places that last collection in now 7am everyday. Is that not breaking away from the universal guarantee?

i'm sorry to disagree with everyone but i'm quite happy with the service i get, have had no problems with delivery times, the only time i thought i had it was the senders mistake.
maybe check that the sender gave a correct time of posting and also remember that if you had to handle 30 million letters and packages a day something by law of averages is gonna go wrong.
our posties work hard and deliver the best they can, remember that when you wake up at 5am in january and pull the duvet over a bit more because it's cold outside, they are outside with your mail!!!!
And i'm sure they are just as happy about all the junk mail as well, they have to carry it!!!!

yes they are terrible. My letters keep going to the same number but different house name. Other people probably know our business now and i think it's totally unacceptable. I reported my postie this morning. He is so dreary the way he walks about like he does not care.
I watched him last week knock at the door in our street and heard a dog bark so he came out and put his letters in the house next door as he was too lazy to take them back to the sort office.
Should be sacked.

i agree the key word here is delievering...
I get my post at 3pm...i recently had a letter date back from july!
i think they need to do some thing about this or sell up and give the service to some other company that can provide a better service.
The only post i get on time is JUNK MAIL.

yes they are. My bank staements went missing (still not found). I was worried that they might get into the wrong hands. I complained to post office and was given a ref no. what good was that. Eventually an old woman came to my door with my unopened letters. she was fed up saying to post office that it was wrong address.(my addresss was corrext on letter) they kept posting it to another street.
