Love is a profound feeling of tender affection for or intense attraction to another. It is considered a deep, ineffable feeling shared in passionate or intimate interpersonal relationships. However, in different contexts, the word love has a variety of related but distinct meanings: in addition to romantic love, which is characterized by a mix of emotional and sexual desire, other forms include Platonic love, religious love, familial love, and the more casual application of the term to anyone or anything that one considers strongly pleasurable, enjoyable, or desirable, including activities and foods. This diverse range of meanings in a single word is commonly contrasted with the plurality of Greek words for love, reflecting the word's versatility and complexity.
Although clearly and consistently defining love is a difficult task, and often a subject of much debate, different aspects of the word can be clarified by determining what isn't "love". As a general expression of positive sentiment (a stronger form of like), love is commonly contrasted with hate (or neutral apathy); as a less sexual and more "pure" form of romantic attachment, love is commonly contrasted with lust; and as an interpersonal relationship with romantic overtones, love is commonly contrasted with friendship, though other definitions of the word love may be applied to close friendships in certain contexts.

Love and the right person do not go hand in hand, you can fall in love with the wrong person, or you might walk pass the right person. Notice their is no such as a right person just a person you will get along with, and their are quite a few. Personally to know if it is the right person don`t follow your heart since your heart usually follows your lust, which usually means a good looking person or bad boys. Use your head , see if you have common interests common goals , if you are happy with their looks , maybe their race and anything else they might be the right person, also ask your parents they usually gone through this and did some mistakes themselves, learn from theirs so you don`t have to make the same ones over. Love is usally a very strong feeling, stronger then any other emotion, basically you get very happy when you with the person, and very moody when they are not around. Also all other emotions are also amplified. Your brains also realeas chemicals which give a natural high, so pretty much everthing in the world seems great.

Believe me you will know, the actual feeling is impossible to describe but these are some of the symptoms, you get a feeling so weird inside your gut you can hardly breath for it at times, butterflies are fluttering about all the time in your tummy, you can't eat, you can't sleep, you think of them constantly and wish everything and everyone would go away just so you can be together, you daydream about the daft crazy things you want to do and you live in a permanent dreamlike state, you have a fixed smile on your face and want to be happy with the world on a permanent basis, it turns you to jelly and it is bloody wonderful.

all i can say is that you just know, i cannot descriebe how it feels, it just feels right to say i love you and really do mean it, i have had a few relationships where i thought that i loved the person, could have sworn i loved the person, until i met my current boyfriend, i have never felt like this about anyone at all EVER, and thats how i know that this one is love and the others were infatuation or whatever.
but then again how do i know that this is love, it might not be it may be different to what someone else has felt and may be different to what i will feel in the future but all i can say is that what i feel now is unlike anything i have ever felt and until i feel different i am going to say that this is love

Found the right person this time I hope so to I`m off my food,Miserable when I don`t get an email or text & her replies are virtually the same as mine so I guess we have something going on some sort of chemistry that we both feel good about & miss each other terribly when we have to be so many miles apart however,our faith keeps us together through thick & thin & we discuss all no matter what we are honest with each other &....

this is coming from a male's point of view:
When a couple falls in love, it is pretty much always known from the begining. I guess you can say love at first site.
THATS NOT THE POINT THOUGH....
Why the hell are girls sooooo worried about knowing if thier dude loves them or not?!?!?! You JUST KNOW! A man doesnt have to say "i love you" over and over to make his point. the female in the relationship should have confidence and be secure after meeting that person...

love is being able to see yourself with the person for the rest of your life. You've found the right one when the other person feels the same way of the latter point made.

its simple in its complexity so to speak. love is many things, but cut a long story short, love is a decision, you decide to love that person, that is mature love. i dont think you can ever know this is the right person, because you can live with someone for yrs and not really know them, male and female are totally different creatures, with different make up in every department i.e look at things, communicate, physically etc etc. you could write a book on the differences between male and female and still not do it justice, hope i havnt confused you too much.
