Im a single, divorced mother. My son is 2 1/2 years old and just recently he started staying the whole weekend with his dad. At daycare there is 6 kids. He started not wanting her out of her site. He starts crying when she is in the bathroom, goes upstairs or downstairs...He has started it with me now...I just wondered if him going with his dad has anything to do with it.

Has anybody ever went through this with their child? What were they like after surgery? What are some good foods to feed them? My daughter does not like things like ice cream and popsicles, what else can I give her? Are they in a lot pain? Give me all the details, I am so nervous and scared for her.

I've been scared to give it to her because I don't know if she's allergic to peanuts.

I want just one pic of my son dressed as the little Griffin. It would really make my wife's christmas (beats a little santa or rudolf any day). There must be a place to buy them but the official site has nothing. Its really just the dungarees and a yellow t-shirt and i probably already have the t-shirt. he'll be nine months by christmas.

There is no father in the picture, just mom.
My son has used the toilet on several occasions when told to do so. However he will ot go on his own, nor will he go number 2 in the toilet.
We are close, but i need something else? I have tried candy, i have also tried punishment, and i have tried putting him in underpants to see what it feels like to be dirty. Is there another approach??

The toddler in question was born one month premature, prolonged labor and mother losing alot of blood, face presentation. Was walking and talking until age 14 months. Then had 105 temp, upper respiratory infection and a convulsion. Taken to ER, given penicillin and got better. However, the walking and talking stopped for over 18 months. Then these abilities were slowly regained. What do you think caused the delay? Thank You!

I have a 3 year old daughter who is long sighted and has bad squints in both her eyes. She has been told she will need operations to fix this. Her consultant won't say when they do the ops, so does anyone have a child who has been through this and at what age did they do it, also what was the op like? Thanks

My son started being afraid of the dark outside. If the blinds are open and the back porch light is off he will run jump in my lap and tell me that it is going to get him, while he points out the back door. This happens anytime there is a dark area outside anywhere. Two nights ago he woke up screaming and I found him frozen in his doorway, shaking and screaming. That happened @ 5am. Last night the same thing happened at 430. I pick him up and carried him back to my room. He is saying go away the whole way back to my room. He use to come to my room but now he will not walk past his doorway. I've tried to ask him what he sees but I can't understand him. We have carried him around the yard at home and at friends, following where he was pointing, trying to figure out what he sees. I try to comfort him the best I can but I don't like him being scared like this. I believe in spirits and all of that stuff. I want him to be comfortable in his home and his room. What can I do? Please Help Us!

I am trying to figure out what is going on with my boyfriends daughter. He reciently moved out of his house and is getting a divorce, his wife has some mental problems. I have heard the mother telling the 2 year old daughter to tell him to come home. Now apparantly the 2 year old is making up elaborate songs about how she wishes her dad was coming home. The mother swears that she is not telling the little one to do this. I have talked to a couple child psychologists and they have both said that this was obvously coorsed, but I would like to get some parents thoughts. I have a 9 year old and when she was 2 she would not have done that.

My 3 yr old (almost 4 yr old) son screams whenever things are not going his way. They are ear piercing screams and he does it continuously! He screams in the stores when I won't get him a toy or whatever it is and it bothers the hell out of me and everyone else in the store. I have turned around and left the store immediately a few times when he has done this but it is hard to be consistent when I'm half way through checking out a cart full of groceries at the register. Plus, I have a cart or stroller with a 1 yr old and at the same time I have to literally drag my son by the arm when I want to leave the store.

I just don't know what to do. Is this a common phase at this age, I thought he might be a little too old for this? Should i spank? Should I put pepper in his mouth? Should I ignore? What should I do??!!

My twin girls are 1 yrs old and I'm ready to potty train them. I thought it would be easy but i couldn't get them to sit still. My mother says that they are not ready yet. But I think other wise.
I really want to potty train them early because most people I know wait to long to potty train their kids. My nephew is 2 and he is not potty train and he so tall he looks 3 or 4. I couldn't see myself changing my kids being that size. what should I do?

Okay today my cat had its leg ran over and the wound was very bloody and bones were exposed. My 2 year old daughter saw the cats wound and is freaked out by it. The vet took the cat into emergency surgery and is amputating the leg. My question is my daughter is crying and is very upset by this. She keeps saying she has a "boo-boo" on her leg too. she has been very i dont want to say clingy but she has been very dependant today. It breaks my heart... but how do we try and reassure her that everything is going to be ok and if anyone out here knows how do you explain the cats leg being missing when the cat comes home in a day or 2?

This is my baby girl and i love her so any help is appreciated.

Is it safe for young children to consume products and beverages that contain Nutrasweet/Equal? We only drink sugar free beverages in our home due to my husband's diabetes. We usually have a pitcher of Crystal Light in the fridge, and ice cream in that contains either Nutrasweet or Splenda. When my grandchildren visit, is there any possible harm in them consuming a reasonable amount of these sugar substitutes?

I have a very active eighteen-month old and a very tall three-and-a-half year old. Until recently, I've been able to pack them up into our double stroller and head out for a walk. Lately, it's been a nightmare! They both fuss and fight the WHOLE time we're out - the younger can't stand being restrained and the elder complains about not having enough room.

At what age did your kids outgrow the stroller?

My ex keeps pusing me and pushing me...we have been divorced now for a year and he is remarried. I would think we could start to get along but....he still keeps a lot of BS going!

Tell me is this crazy...He does not want our son to bring anything from his place to my place. But he does return anything my son takes from my house back from his place, clothers, toys.

I asked that my son calls me when he is there...But my son has to ask the stepmom before he calls me, which her answer is no, wait until ur dad gets home...But he doesn't get in until late, and he never allows my son to call me.

Further more his new wife of a year, has brought another kid into the picture, not sure if her child or her little sister, but the kicked my son out of his room...so that the other kid sleep in a room, while my son sleeps on a blow up mattress...he isnlt allowed to sleep on the sofa...wife orders.

The wife or other child will not speak to my son...

My son is a total angel when its just me and him.
When its just him and my wife he is awful.
When it is all three of us, he is a nightmare.

I dont understand at all. Its tantrum after tantrum afer tantrum. Hes a totally different person around me though. Just to let everyone know I dont spank my son except for safety issues (eg running out in the street)

Why is this happening?
What can i do do curb it?

We’re going out again tonight, I have to pick something up for supper for my kids but I’m tired of feeding them McDonald’s. Is there anything else that I can pick up fast that isn’t so gross & greasy? Something easy from a grocery store that’s ready to eat, preferably unprocessed.
