During the holidays we always try to buy things that are educational. They might get a couple of toys that they want but I got to the point where I was tired of buying toys and they weren't really getting any use out of them. Money is tight for me so I like to buy games, flash cards, books. Things that they can learn from. Good luck and remember Christmas is not about presents!!

After raising 3 girls I found the things that they loved most were those things that cultured their interests like:
1. the maternal/domestic/homemaker/ instinct
2. the artistic/visual/hands on instinct
3. the nature/outdoor/science/animal lover instinct
Your daughter has no doubt displayed her preferences. Does she like to color and draw? Does she like to play house? Does she like to be outside in the sun, inspecting bugs, flowers, sandbox?
Take her preferences and go with that and culture in her heart and mind that which she gravitates naturally to.
An easel, crayons, markers, watercolor and fingerpaints and lots of colored paper were the artistic/coloring/drawing daughter's favorite toys.
A kitchen set, tea set, dolls and doll furniture, fake food, were the maternal daughter's favorite toys.
A wagon/tricycle/roller skates/scooter/gardening tools were the outdoor daughter's favorite toys. She always wanted one of those ride inside cars that you scoot around in too.
When you observe her and talk with her and interact with her, you will find where her heart is. Of course, they all loved helping with cooking, baking, making beds, dusting, and domestic stuff. I made it fun and sang what we were going to do next. Kids respond to singing. A good example is the alphabet song to help memory and learning in a fun way.
Culture the arts; music, painting, sculpture, architecture in her age group "way". She will excel when praised and encouraged in the areas where she shows interest. It's never too early to start. Don't force it. Let her guide you according to her interests and talents, not yours.
Have fun with her and give her your undivided attention as much as you can. She will thank you for it and you will have a strong relationship with her as you both age.

Have you seen Betty Spagetti, you can chop and change the parts of the doll. Or there is a bear making toy in argos which you stuff the bears yourself, my little girl wants these. Good luck.

How about one of those heads with lots of hair, was called Girls World in my day, but they do a good one in the Early Learning centre if you are from the UK. I think little girls love doing hair styles and brushing so she should love it.

The playdough pet shop, where you give them haircuts. Also more fake food, but make sure its made with the non-toxic materials.
Playdough also has a cool waffle iron.
