I have two strollers. One is from when my son was an infant and it was part of a travel system. The other is slightly larger than an umbrella and it is the one we pretty much use when we go to the zoo or mall. I am thinking of getting rid of the larger stroller but I don't know if I should or not. Also, it was a baby shower present from my mom. Can I sell it or should I offer it back to her? My son is 2 1/2 and he is the only grandchild on both sides. Any suggestions?

My son is 18 months and night terrors have started. They are 'bad' enough that he needs to be fully woken up and thrashes against us--not recognizing who we are. It can take up to an hour to get him relaxed enough to fall back asleep. The pede said to not have him eat heavy before bedtime and to not have him have a ton of liquid either. Provide soft music and a nightlite (which we already do). Any other tips you can provide? My DD was four when her night terrors started, but she just crawled in with us and hers were over. Help!

Why, when every health organization in the world recommends breastfeeding for at least a year (and most of them even suggest at least TWO years), do people act shocked or even horrified to find that I'm still breastfeeding my 14-month-old son? I have no intention of stopping until at least his second birthday. Why are there such negative attitudes towards extended breastfeeding when we KNOW it's the healthiest thing for our children? Even if someone doesn't know that it's healthiest, why do they care what I do anyway? I don't even breastfeed in public anymore, so it isn't about public display. I don't get it!

I asked a question about how to deal with a situation in my life. Some of u left some helpful comments and were very supportive but some of you were rude and judgemental. I pray that none of u ever suffer from domestic abuse or have difficult pregnancies. I remarried and am being scolded for doing so. My husband who is wonderful is under attack but some fail to realize that hes a marine and cannot help when a field op comes around and he has to leave. Just remember we are here to support each other and give advice...not judge her try to hurt others feelings. God bless you ALL.

I read to them, work with them, play with them but because we can't communicate with each other I feel as if I am just butting my head against a wall. I have a 6 year old daughter who is above average for her age and I am in no way trying to push them to be like her but I know there are things they should know by now (TALKING) that they don't and I just don't want them to be behind! They just recently started with a speech therapist and I am hoping that will help! Any advice is GREATLY appreciated! Especially from someone who has been there and done that!! LOL
Thanks

I have a 4 year old foster son who has been spitting (like wads) on the other children at school & at home. I DO NOT want to, nor can I, spank him. He lived in a very violent situation.
He could sit in time out for an hour without moving or making a noise, so that doesn't seem to work very well either. I am very greatful for any advise.

Okay... I married my high school crush and everything between us is great. I have a 2 year old from a previous marriage and he loves her more than anything and i trust him with her but i dont trust his mother. Shes not very maternal. My daughter has been in GA for a month visiting with my mom and shes been trying to get my daughter to take her to atl claming she wants to bond with her but the last time she had her she let strangers take her and walk around with her at her sons school event. So many children are missing or assaulted and i dont want my daughter to be subjected to that. She called me last night asking if she could take my daughter to atl to a parade that her sons gonna be in and added that her niece has been dying to have her. i dont know those people like that and i dont trust my mother in law to keep an eye on her at all times. How can i talk to her about this without ruining our relationship? Should i get my husband to address this instead?

My son was very ill about 9 month ago and would not eat or drink his formula so hes pediatrician suggested Pediasure. He liked it very much but from that day on refused solid foods. He has been on Pediasure ever since. In my eyes he seemed having more and more problems sleeping and dirting his diapers (constipation). His Ped suggested to put fiber in the bottle, did not help! We finally discovered a milk allergy and got rid of the Pediasure and replaced it with Soy (Vanilla flavored) milk. I was thrilled to see him happy and finally going in his diaper (3 times a day now!) But he still wont eat solid food. He licks all sort of food we offer he licks it and when he likes it he suck on it but never eats a bite. He had half a cup of vanilla pudding and maybe a half spoon of mashed potatoes and sauce. Ped seems fine with it but he is loosing weight and I am concerned. Any idea on how to get him to eat? Oh it as been 2 weeks now that he is on soy and he was eating before he got sick!

He outgrew his crib, so he now sleeps in a playpen.
Keep in mind that I hate those toddler beds. They are so unsafe, plus my son sleeps wild and will stand up in that little bed and throw his self out. Even though the bed have rails, I feel they are unsafe.
Any other suggestions.

I need some suggestions on how to teach my 3yr old son not to hit. I am not sure why he is hitting but we now have to look for another daycare because of this. My wife and I have just had another baby and I do realize this could be a cause. He still gets plenty of attention from us. My wife is off on maternity leave for 2 more months so we need to fix this to get him in another daycare. Also, he doesnt just go around hitting. It was happinging once a day at daycare but he would attack very quickly and as many as he could. any thoughts?

My son is 2 and a half years old. My husband is awaiting trial and is being held in a remand prison. He thinks that it is not a good idea for my son to visit him because my son may be able to remember the visits and make sense of what happened when he is older. My son has not seen his father for 6 months already. Any advice?

My son will be four next month. He has been potty trained for over a year now, but he still doesn't know how to wipe his own butt. I bought him his own box of wipes to sit on the back of the toilet, but that doesn't help. He wipes his butt cheek, not his crack. I've tried explaining it to him, but it doesn't work.

He goes to school now and he has to yell for the teacher to come in and wipe him.

Please help!

I have a 2 1/2 year old boy. He lays down for his nap around one and takes a 1 1/2 hour nap sometimes he fights me to sleep long, and won't take one any eairler. When it's bedtime at nine he comes up with every reason to be up. When I finally get him in bed, he is kicking the wall getting out of bed and grabing stuff off his book shelf...ect. By the time he gets to sleep its 10:30 - 11:00 which is to late. He shares a room with his 5 month old brother and I can't keep him asleep in his crib because his brother keeps wakeing him up. I've tryed skipping the nap but he gets real crabby and falls asleep playing around 4 or 5 pm. I'm running out of ideas.

My childs' daycare is actually a preschool, which is definitely honing his intellect.I will list the reasons I think we,along with all of the other parents of this daycare are getting hosed.I would greatly appreciate input on this subject. Is it a racket or what?Is it legal?
CON'S
1.They are closed every government holiday.
2.They are closed from December 24th to January 2nd.
3.We have to pay for the holidays when they are not even open.We also pay a babysitter as well.
4.We have to pay even if he doesn't attend due to illness.Even though their policy states they are not allowed to attend if they are ill. However I have seen children who were sick that are owners or workers children or relatives.Which is completely unfair to the rest of the healthy children.Besides who would make their child sit in preschool when they should be getting TLC at home.
PRO'S
1.My son really likes it there.
2.It is very clean(2 or 3 year old building).
3.He likes the activities and education he recieves.
