Find a small hotel with an outdoor waterpark with stuff geared to toddlers. Dont go somewhere too overwhelming, like a huge waterpark. You'll also want somewhere with a kitchenette in the room, and even seperate rooms, like an embassy suites, so you can stay up later than him.

I don't live in Ohio, so obviously I'm not familiar with that area. I'm not sure how far you're wanting to travel either, but here are some ideas:
Sea World
Ripley's Aquarium
Dinosaur museum
Almost anything will interest a toddler...just don't plan too much! When I say PLANNING...I mean literally don't plan anything. They are toddlers and things happen...just go with the flow. It could all be too overwhelming for your little one...and be guaranteed that he'll take a great nap after a busy day...that'll be your time! Hope you guys have fun!

nicely, at age 2 i'd not recommend tremendous vast topic parks. you may attempt staying at a motel the position you'll locate places interior sight like a botanical backyard and get some tremendous memorable pictures - yet have the inn interior sight. If he or she continues to be in diapers - you'll favor to make this as straightforward as plausible. locate a baby's museum close by with lively activities. Do some thing diverse for 2 of the days and then stay on the motel the finished day for 2 days - taking her or him to the pool and such. in case you provide her or him too a lot pastime - you'll in undemanding words remorseful about pushing them to do a lot - make it relaxing for both easily one of you! you basically do not want to carry little youngster homestead thoroughly crabby and over drained. that can make the subsequent 3 days coming homestead a nightmare. at the same time as my daughter replaced into 2 - we did no longer have 4 days off and she had a infant brother with us - we spent the day at a backyard with flora and walkways - that they had a baby's backyard and we've the finest pictures - we are going to not in any respect ignore it. At age 2 - they are going to ignore maximum of it - so do not get all wrapped up in operating round like loopy and doing too a lot - that's a holiday for you besides in spite of everything. you want to do some thing it truly is likewise relaxing for you - and God bless you - nurses are different best human beings in the international and maximum deserving of a few days off!

If you wouldn't mind staying in OH (or don't mind crossing the river to KY), the Newport Aquarium is one of my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter's favorite places to visit. Four days in a row would make a nice long weekend in the Cincinnati area - you could do King's Island, the Cincinnati Zoo, and the aquarium. The zoo and the aquarium are pretty inexpensive, and I'm pretty sure your son would get into KI for free...

Well it will be warm in ohio in august..lol. But...I'd suggest Florida. Orlando, Kissimee area. It's geared toward families and young children. You'll find all kinds of things to do. If you decide Florida, I'd ask a local travel agent to help you find and plan some things to do while you are there. I'm mom to 3.

I live in birmingham , al- Disney is an awesome place to go and at his age for a super short trip will be great for both of you. Plus it isn't very expensive there are lots of deals out there. We took our son there at a little over 2 and he LOVED it.

Not too familiar with that area, but just keep in mind your little one is 2. Stay somewhat close by and somewhere not too hot. You want to have a vacation and not get worn out. Good luck.
