- goes to sleep easily with a full tummy after an active day- naps for 2 hours at daycare during the day.
midnight he is laying in the crib screaming with eyes closed- he can scream for 40 min. if i pick him up and put him in our bed or take him to the living room floor with a sippy cup he takes 5 sips and then goes back to sleep. this has been happening for 2 weeks
if i leave him he will continue to scream for 40 min to 1 hr at a time. - doc says this is normal..... and to leave him.
- sleep deprived working parent.

I was in the kitchen making mac and cheese for my four year old and her friend. While I was doing that Makenzie my daughter took the baby from his walker while bella makenzies friend played a song on the piano [she's a prodegy, she played Fur Elise and she is four] . I looked over worried and told makenzie to put him down and she said "one sec" I kept an eye on him untill she put him down, then I looked the other way to pour the mac and cheese into there bowels when Oliver [my baby] started screaming like NO baby has ever screamed before. I ran over to him and his nose started bleeeding and had a scratch on his fore head that was bleeding too. My daughter wont't tell me what happed and Bella is too shy to talk to me. WHAT SHOULD I DO???????

My son is definitely taking after his father. My husband is 6'5" and about 210. I am 5'2". My daughter eats like a bird. My son. Wow. Help! I need meal ideas for him. He already has 8 teeth. He weighs 25 pounds and is over 32 inches. I don't know were all of the food goes. He just ate 1/2 a banana, a little (tiny) bowl of cheerios and two scrambled eggs. I need healthy options. He loves veggies but I am afraid to give him some of them due to choking hazards. Chicken recipes? Any ideas? Wow my daughter was so easy :)
Thank you, Mom to Mom!

ALL DAY taking away the toys from the others, and enjoys enormously making them cry, I feel he even doesn´t care about the toys, but just wants to make the others cry....here are my 3 question: 1. what can be his reasons? 2. How can I change his behaviour? 3. how can I develop a good relationship with him, to be honest I quite dislike him, and feel I shouldn´t of course, but I do.

If they are grabbing at you or throwing a tantrum or telling you to get something for them that is two feet from them? I have and feel terrrible. I will say stop crying in her face and I have done it a few times and said shut up before.but now i just ignor her and ask her calmy after 2 minutes if she wants me to hold her to stop crying. most of the time it takes three cycles(6-8 min) to finally calm down. I have never ever threatened, just gotton mad at the screaming. I am trying now to be very patient. I just feel bad for those times I did yell. have you gone through this? I am asking because the correct way is what I have been doing(ignoring) and has been working.tantrums are 5-10 % of the day, laughing and hugging, playing are 90%.

My son is 2.5yrs old. He is completely potty trained..day and night. My question is this....during the day, when he goes to the bathroom to go potty, he has to get COMPLETELY naked. I have recently been able to convince him to leave his shirt on, but the pants, underwear, shoes, socks....everything else comes off. Do other kids his age to this? He even has to take them off just to go pee.

I listen to my 2-year-old daughter's music a lot during the day. She loves it and it's helping her learn new words, and how to sing and dance, so I don't want to start turning it off.

But when playtime is over and I finally find the house peaceful and quiet, I can't get the stupid songs out of my head!!!! Especially when I'm trying to fall asleep, they just play over and over and it drive me batty. How can I stop this?

My son has been crawling since just under 6 months, walking since 8 months, and now he's mastered the art of climbing (at just under a year)- on everything! He can get over baby gates, into chairs, and most recently out of his crib! What should I do? I watch him constantly, but I can't at night & he escapes almost soundlessly (we even have a video monitor with sound & lights in his room). He's only done it twice so far, during naps. I don't place ANYTHING in the crib with him & he's not unusually tall, the crib is at it's lowest level already. I have padded the floor with blankets in case he falls out, but I'm scared to death he will get out & get hurt on something else. Anybody have any suggestions? I think he may be too small yet for a bed because then he would always be out LOL I really am at a loss of what to do & as it is now, I am up wondering when he will break out next or if he'll do it at night at all. Please help with any advice. Thanks

I have a two year old that for the last month has been on a sleeping strike. She won't settle down for bed before 10 PM- and she's up in the morning anywhere from 4AM to 6:30 AM. In the afternoons, I'm doing good to get her to take an hour nap. What is going on???? She's in daycare a few days a week (about 3 hours in the morning). She doesn't sleep at daycare. The rest of the day she's with me or my husband. I don't give her loads of sugar or caffeine or chocolate or anything like that. I'm ready to pull my hair out!! Any other parents out there experienced this?? Suggestions??? Advice???

My daughter is now 3 yrs 8 months(June 7th). She is going to a nearby daycare centre in Berkeley, CA since past 7 months after we have moved to US. I am a stay at home mom. Initially we started sending her to preschool just thinking that it will help her to learn to speak English so that she will not find difficulty when she starts regular schooling. Now she is very good in speaking english(almost forgetting our mother tongue). I am just thinking of stop sending her to school because of some financial conflicts. Do you think that she feels boring at home since she is the only kid at home and she doesnt have any friends nearby? Any idea about the places where she can have fun or some activities or any activity centres for the kids nearby? And her school schedule is inturrupting her breakfast, lunch and afternoon nap timings. Do you think I can keep her occupied her in some activities without sending to daycare till her regular schooing startsl?

I was discussing with a friend how old a child should be potty trainned.
She had a daughter trained by 14 months old.
Another was over 3 by the time they had sucess.
I think it all depends on the childs development because there was almost 2 years difference in this case.
So is it a set age or dependent on the childs personal development?
