try to divert your mind to something else before sleeping or start reading some novels.

I've heard (anecdotally) that singing the entire song, along with the music, should help clear it out. (Most of the time, only a few lines/melodies will get stuck, and hearing the entire song will relieve that.)
Try laying down and listening to the most boring classical music possible at a soft volume. I recommend Phillip Glass... I hate his stuff. Any cello soloist should be sufficient.
Maybe half a sleeping pill or some Nyquil to induce a little nap. Wake up, and it'll be gone.

I can relate 100%. I am a preschool teacher and have to listen to that childrens music 8 hours a day. It seems that at bedtime is when all the songs come back and I can't get them out of my head. I have tried everything. The closest thing is to get another song in my brain but even then the old preschool songs come back. Try listening to music for about 20 min before you go to bed see if that helps get something else in there. sometimes it works.

Ok, well i have a 3 yr old and he does the same thing, listen to the same thing over and over..
Well here is what i did.. And possibly you can do..
If you have a ipod or anything with headphones put them on while she is playing the songs and dancing.. You hear your variety of music and dont have to listen to her music all the time and it dosent get stuck in your head.. Its funny cause i used to find myself singing the kids songs when they were not even around. .
The other music does work though..
Good luck

This sounds crazy, but research has shown that if you finish the song instead of just singing one verse again and again, the song will get un-stuck, so to speak. So sing the song all the way through; if you don't know the ending, make one up. Apparently the sense of closure is very important in getting songs out of your head.

It's called an earworm. The most likely reason for an earworm is overexposure, or you don't know all of the words or the tune, so your brain gets stuck on it. You should make up your own version of the song, with totally different words, then sing it to yourself a few times. It will go away. You just have to make your lyrics really different, like the items on your grocery list, or something boring or something you need to remember.

there are ways of getting the songs out of your head. meditating is one thing. if u dont like meditating, you can always buy yourself a cd player and make yourself a cd with your favourite songs and listen to them afterwards. or u could think of one of your favourite songs and sing it in your head. or mayb u can sit yourself in front of the t.v. i know t.v. may not seem healthy, but if u need to do something that would take your mind off things like that, and u dont want to get out of the house and go for a walk, then that's probably the best thing i can think of
