Nothing much you can do small children don't like to go to bed they should not cry for too long maybe 5min to 20min don't pay attention to the baby. I always liked a bottle and cartoons to put my kids to bed some people may differ.

It is a good idea to start "winding down" about a half hour before bedtime. Read a quiet book such as Goodnight Moon or Goodnight Gorilla, have a bottle, talk in calm voices and just be quiet. Then when you put the baby down, he should go to sleep faster, but not right away; let him cry for about 15 minutes before you go in to pat him, hold him or rock him to sleep. Just be supportive and understanding!!

if he is still crying after 18 minutes take him out and soothe him, then put him back in and say goodnight.
