Shoppers are being asked to toss out jars having a product code on the lid beginning with "2111," which denotes the plant. ConAgra said they can return their lids or full jars of peanut butter to the store where they bought them for a refund.

I didn't, but my boyfriend did. They had 2 jars, and had eaten most of 1 jar of it. Nobody got sick from it though.

Nope, we didn't have any. We're SMUCKERS users! Or, when I'm feeling like being naughty we're Jif (still a Smucker's product) users.

They said the only way the bacteria could get in the peanut butter was either dirty jars or dirty equipment. The peanut butter is heated at too high a temp to leave any bacteria. GROSS.

Yes I had it. I was sick for a week, but am still not sure it that is why. I could have just had the flu. I love Peter Pan and realize that this stuff happens, but I am thinking about switching to Jiff now!

I did. The numbers are 2111, and it's Peter Pan and Great Value, the Walmart brand. And we did get sick, but we thought it was a stomach virus.

Yep. Had GV brand (almost gone) and threw it out- no one got sick. Had 2 jars of Peter Pan not even opened and threw both out.

I was the only one that ate some, but I think I must have smoked too much herb to even notice any effect on me. I threw it away, tho...
And the first four numbers on the lid have to be 0111
