When you moved your toddler how did you get them to not keep getting out of the bed? Did they not even try or did they think it was funny to come out of the room every 5 minutes?

My little girl is not fat but is just much bigger than other kids her age. She is not quite two and weighs 40 lbs and is 40 inches tall. The doctor says that she is one of the healthiest toddlers she has seen. My problem is though that I can't find clothes to fit her. Because of her waist she needs a 5T but her legs are more like a 2T or 3T. So I am constantly buying really long pants and then rolling them up. It is just frustrating. Why can't I find clothes that fit my daughter!!! If you have any suggestions on where to look I would appreciate it. Thanks

i walk away from it, i don't reinforce the tantrums with any attention good or bad. my husband however tries to talk her out of it, and makes the tantrum worse. we have talked about ways to handle the two's and i've explained to him why we should ignore tantrums. how else do i get my husband to be consistant with me?

My toddler is 16 months now and I am 5 months pregnant. She sleeps in a cot bed at the moment and I was wondering if I should take the sides off soon before the baby is born say at 18 months, or is that way too young?
What age did you move your child to a bed and did you have any problems?

My 5 year old put a regular orange crayola crayon in her pocket and it was washed and dried so it is all over everything. Is there a good way to get it out? I have an entire load of laundry with it all over. There are many brand new items in this load so I am desperate to get it out. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks in advance

I took my 5 year old son's temp under the arm. It was 102.8. Now I know you are supposed to add a degree. My question is do I add a degree to the 2 or 8?
I think he may have strep throat. He has thrown up all night and has a sore throat.

I asked his Pediatrician and he said that there is nothing I can do because he's sleeping.I can't wake him no matter how hard I try and that I just have to wait it out.I do pick him up and try to let my voice sooth him and I rub him until it's over. They happen about every other month and he's had them since he was an infant.I'm more curious about if he will grow out of this or will it get worse. If anyone has any SERIOUS suggestions or comments please let me know.

She is 19 months and is ready. I know this because I take her with me to babysit two times a week and they don't have a crib for her so I let her sleep in a regular size bed and she goes right to sleep. Of course I surrond the edge that is not up against the wall with pillows but when I check on her she hasn't really moved everywhere to fall off the bed. So I'm wondering if I should get rid of the crib. I am debating on it because she could get scared or get up whenever she wants. So it's half out of convienence for me and have worrying about her. I am a very light sleeper, whenever she wakes up now I pop up out of bed. If I don't move her to the bed now I'll wait til June for her second birthday. Which is a better idea to do? Oh, another thing. I know they say to move a child to a bed when they can crawl out of the crib but what some people don't know is that there are a lot of babies that never crawl out and she is one of them. So I am not waiting to see if she does.

I was picking him up Wednesday like always from preschool, when I walked in he was sitting all by himself. I kept on asking him why, and he said that he didn't want to play. Which I understand (but normally he has no problem playing with other children). But what really bothered me was that he teachers wasn't telling me what was going on. I had to go up to one of the teachers to ask her why he was sitting there. She said he just didn't want to play with the others, every time that they tried to have him come to the circle, he would cry. Shouldn't a teacher sit there with him, or was it right to leave him there by himself? Something was wrong with him, and what really P***ed me off, was the teachers were going to let me leave without talking to me. The teachers do not interact with the parents at all. Am I blowing this out of hand, or am I right? They have a "naughty rug" at school (which I don't think is right) and its just so hard to communicate with the teachers. What would you do?

My son is 20 months old and has always loved to get a bath. He actually sits in the tub w/his clothes on and pretends to take a bath sometimes.

He went to his dad's house yesterday and this morning he wouldn't even set foot in the bathroom and completley freaked out when i put him in the tub. He didnt want to play and wouldnt even sit down. as soon as we left the bathroom he was fine again.

i dont think anything could have happened yesterday b/c he was only there from 7-7 and i dont see his dad giving him a bath. what do you guys think...should i be concerned?

Gerber made juice treats- soft gummy fruit flavoured things for toddlers...they came in little bags inside a box. I can't find them since very recently, and my daughter loves them. Does anyone know if they have been discontinued?

Thanks!

The last 2-3 nights, my 16 month old son has been having fevers. They are pretty mild and he seems normal and active during the day. His appetite for solid food has been poor, but he's also teething the top 2 molars and top canines at once. He's been nursing normal and drinking other fluids. Week before last, he was sick w/ a cold or flu for a couple of days and had a fever w/ that too. He's not acting sick and seems to have no other symptoms, though he is fussy at night when the fevers come on. Sound familiar to anyone?

I am planning to take him to a doc, but I was hoping to get more information before the appt.

TIA

My son does not sleep through the nights on a regular basis. He normally only sleeps through once a week. He only wakes up as he cant find his dummy which is attached to his blanket he likes. I dont want to leave him crying as we have neighbours and dont want to upset them. My son has a sleep in the morning for a hour and then is awake for 7 hours after his sleep. He goes to bed and 7pm as he cant stay awake any more and i then get up with him at 7am. He seems to wake up between 3am-5am, i really need to get him to sleep through. I hope some one can help me on this.
Thank you

I have a four month old mini lop bunny, he is a boy and is a fairly affectionate little man. I am about to take him to the vet to get him spayed, as he has started spraying, biting and humping my arm (I know it's funny, go on laugh). He lives in a cage in in my room, it has a big bottom floor, about a meter long, and two shelves with ladders that he also sits on. He is let out to run and play in my room for a bout 2 hours everyday and I give him heaps of attention when he is in, or out of his cage. Today I was in the pet store and I saw the most gorgeous little bunny,! I don't know if it was a boy or a girl, but it was a mini lop. Would it be unfair to get another bunny and keep it in the same cage? If not, what would go better with a boy? Another boy bunny, or a girl bunny? I think it might be good for him to have to company, so when I'm at work he isn't lonely.

I'm going away on business and want to know for maintaining nutritional value, if it's better to cut fresh vegetables and freeze them and then cook them. Or cook the fresh vegetables then freeze. Last time I did cook & freeze and when I unthawed them they seemed to be a mess of slop.
