i walk away from it, i don't reinforce the tantrums with any attention good or bad. my husband however tries to talk her out of it, and makes the tantrum worse. we have talked about ways to handle the two's and i've explained to him why we should ignore tantrums. how else do i get my husband to be consistant with me?

Just sit him down and explain it to him. Often times, one parent allows to let the child get away with things that the other parent does not allow. You both need to be on the same page.

Tell him no booty till he reinforces it. I am just kidding. Just keep being a good example to show him how well it works for you and hopefully sooner then later he will pick up on it and start doing it. It is absolutly normal oddly enough for 23 month olds to throw tantrums. It is difficult I have a four year old and I remember when she started it was different.

Welcome to the terrible 2's stage!! Believe me she knows what she is doing. She falls out when she can't get something or you might tell her no whatever the situation maybe. I babysit for my cousin 15 month old child and she already falls out, kicking her feet, screaming. I personally let her lay on the floor and do it until she get tired, but her grandmother spanks her and it really get worse. You and your husband should sit down and talk about how to handle this situation more thoroughly, believe me, she will embarrass you in public. My 9 year old still falls out. I look at her like she is crazy.

Ugh...good luck. He really needs to understand that the two of you have got to be on the same page for discipline or your child will be a tyrant.
