My 5 year old put a regular orange crayola crayon in her pocket and it was washed and dried so it is all over everything. Is there a good way to get it out? I have an entire load of laundry with it all over. There are many brand new items in this load so I am desperate to get it out. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks in advance

Use the hottest water that is okay for the fabric and a good solvent detergent like dawn dish detergent. Break up the ruined load into several smaller loads so that you don't have a suds overflow because dish detergent is very sudsy. Good luck!

I had this happen with a red crayon. I dried it, it was stuck to the inside of dryer as well, I believe I used Shout believe it or not, as well as my liquid detergent and rubbed it in real good and let it set for a few hours. Then ran the load thru a soak cycle then regular wash. most everything came out, I dont remember anything totally ruined. As for the dryer, I just cleaned it out with Lysol or Costco wipes, I use both. It came right out.
