my son says lots of words he might say more than 100 but I'm not sure talking is one thing that my children can do well but each child is different.

My 2 oldest had at least 100 words by 24 months, but my friends son NEVER talked until 22 months then suddenly its like he had this HUGE vocabulary that no one knew he had! Another friends child didn't talk till he was almost 3 and her second son talked at just 16 months old (sentances) and both boys are totally normal. Every child is different, some focus and running and jumping, some like to study things, others talk.
Also between 18 months of age many kids hit a "language explosion" and suddenly you can't get them to shut up! not all hit their "explosion" at that age, and some do but its simple words while for others its full sentances. It varies. For my First child she was speaking in simple sentances ("More milk please") at 14 months, my second child could not do that till closer to 19 months though.
At any rate, if you are concerned, check with your doctor, but I bet everything is just fine.

I would say that most two year olds have a bigger vocabulary than just 100 words. My daughter will be two next month and I can carry pretty simple "conversations" with her and she converses back. Most people can understand her too.

i don't know but my daughter did! i am a stay at home mom, so i think it's easier for a child to learn more words that way b/c it's just her and me all day! we have always talked to her like another adult< no baby talk> and she started talking really early! i don't think it's a bad thing though if someone's child doesn't have that many words yet. children develop diffrent talents at diffrent ages, for instance she could say words but didn't walk until she was 14 months! as long as a child reaches the milestones in a timely fashion there is nothing to worry about!

it's different for each child. my daughter was physically ahead, she crawled at 5 mos, walked at 8. she will be 2 next month and is just starting to communicate with more than a couple words. best thing you can do is talk to her and read to her or him. they all catch up!
