My youngest daughter will be almost 2 by the time christmas gets here, I have no idea what to tell people to get her. She plays with EVERYTHING when we go to the toy store. Has anyone got their 2 year old a present that they loved? If so HELP!! I don't want to sound like a bad mom because I can't figure out what the best present would be. Any tips on telling what her favorite is? Like I said at the store she plays with everything the same amount, except strollers, but she already has a few of those.

My son is almost 3 and he came up to me yestarday and said "Mommy listen listen" and farted real loud and laughed! I thought it was funny but then I got worried that he will do it in public or in school. Should I be worried. I will defenitely have to say something to my husband for teaching him that.

My mother grew up not worrying about her children. When I would get lost at places with large crowds she would never look for me. She always wandered off. My mother even made me wait to go to the doctor when I was bleeding profusely from my jaw. ( I smacked into the concrete). When I was 6 I almost drown and a man with no lower sections of his arms came and picked me up out of the suction.Where was my mom? My mom had me in daycare when she didn't even work. How did she have us growing up and not worrying about anything?

I heard that it helps if you label items with pictures, that kids learn where things go, and what they are. I am trying to find labels and pictures of kitchen items, such as pots and pans, plates, glasses or cups, and silverwear. Can you please help me? Or at least lead me in the right direction?

Even when I suggest something that he genuinely likes such as the park or playground, etc. he would prefer to stay at home or at the very least, it takes me hours (literally HOURS!) of cajoling to get us out the door. If I have something that needs to get done, I will just say we're going and pick him up and go which sometimes elicits crying and/or protest so I don't want to do that in order to take him to the park, but.... So any suggestions or advice on why my child wants to stay inside and play with me instead of play with me OUTside on beautiful autumn days? Going crazy and feeling housebound!

My oldest child is 2 years and 7 months and is not potty trained. She has gone to the potty and done #1 and #2.... but she does not understand that she needs to tell me before she needs to go. I ask her often and sometimes she will go, sometimes she won't... my mother told me it was disgusting to put panties on her and let her go in them but with the pull ups, she still thinks she's in diapers... also, at night she won't go to bed without a sippy cup. That's automatic accident. Help! Is she just still growing and need more time?

also.. he throws a fit when i change his diaper.. and yes i'm trying to do the whole potty thing and i'll keep trying but for now hes just not interested.. but he tries to get up and move around and grab the diaper and everything, and i've tried distracting him which also doenst work even with a new book or small toy he can hold onto.

I have a 14 month old girl, I am pregnant and I live in a 2 bed flat. If its a boy I still want them to share until daughter is around 8 years old.
The room is currently completely pink so obviously I will have to decorate it, but I can't really afford to change the pink carpet so what could I do to make the room look less girly and more neutral whilst still keeping the carpet?
