I have a two yr old, and I feel guilty for giving him oven bakedchicken nuggets for lunch. He eats great for dinner, but breaksfast and lunch, it's pancakes and nuggets. What are some easy snacks?

Some easy healthy snacks are things like carrot stick, apple slices and cheese strings, kids love those, you could also try granola bars. As for easy meals, for breakfast, try oatmeal, and grilled cheese or bananas and peanut butter for lunch.

Some not so healthy snacks are cookies, small chocolate bars.

If you are still having problems, take to your doctor, they should be able to give you a good idea as to what to try.

Hope this helps, even if it is just a little. Good Luck.

Here are some quick foods my son likes:

Imitation crab meat or cooked bay shrimp (sounds weird, but they like it and you can pull a little right of the bag for lunch or snack)
Peanut butter & apple
Yogurt with fruit & cereal on top
Scrambled eggs
String cheese
Smoothies
Edamame (this entertains him as much as it serves as a snack)
Veggie burgers
Fish sticks (buy the "light" ones - they are a little healthier)
Bagel or English muffin pizzas

Even if you're reaching for chicken nuggets or fish sticks, no matter how rushed you are you can keep some frozen corn, peas or carrots on hand and nuke some to offer with lunch. Keep a supply of applesauce & canned fruit too. Of course it doesn't replace fresh fruit & veggies, but it works in a pinch.

I wouldn't feel guilty for giving him chicken nuggets for lunch unless he had them everyday. Chicken nuggets are extremely normal foods for 2 yr. olds.

Just be creative..what does he like?

Maybe cut up a banana and put a little peanut butter and a few colored sprinkles on top.

Make some fruit salad. We buy a can of diced pineapple, a can of mandarin oranges, and some cherries and mix it all together (drain the juice from the pineapple and oranges first though) and it gets eaten quicker than candy--well, most of the time :-)

Get some french bread ($1 a loaf at walmart!) and put on some mozzerella or cheddar cheese on top and bake it until the cheese is melted. Give him a side of tomato sauce to dip it in and that's a great meal for a toddler.

Hope that helped!

Yoghurt, grilled cheese, sliced apples, pears, bananas, peaches, soup and crackers, small sandwiches cut into quarters, carrot sticks, hard boiled egg, macaroni cheese, ravioli and sauce, scrambled eggs with tomatoes on the side and toast, small baked potato with cheese and broccoli, scoop out the potato and add the cheese and broccoli. Hope some of these are things you could consider. Mix and match some of the above.

my daughter loves carrot sticks and ranch dressing, also apple slices and peanut butter. string cheese is also a favorite. crackers are a must at every snack for her! grapes sliced in half are easy. Something cute and fun for them to eat is to make a face out of fruit and veggies on a plate. my daughter loves that. raisins are good too. any kind of berry and melons! Good luck i know how frustrating it is to get a toddler to eat right!

Carrot sticks with dressing dip.
Cheese sticks
Cheese and Crackers
fruit of any sort ( I go with the season'sale)
Lunches: sandwiches with the veggies, fruits, cracker snacks.
Breakfast: cereal, eggs and bacon, fruit.
I make stuff like GreenBean Casserole
Mac + Cheese with hot dogs and corn mixed in.
Just be creative :-)

I eat the lettuce salads in the bag. Of course my 2 year old sees me eating it and wants it too!

My daughter loves chicken nuggets too! I feel bad. She also likes pizza bites and those little personal pan frozen pizzas. She loves those little mandarin oranges and cottage cheese. Celery sticks and carrot sticks. Apples cut up with some cinnamon. Just think of something you would like and make it for him.

my 2 yr old daughter LOVES mozzerella sticks (string cheese). She eats them with the cheap packs of thin sliced meats that we tear up into bite sized pieces. She also loves trail mix and apples.

That's a terrible diet for a child!!! Don't you give him fresh fruit & veggies? Eggs, oatmeal or rice or cream of wheat for breakfast. Granola, yougart, cheese, freeze grapes for snacks! peanutbutter on banana slices, applesauce, cottage cheee, do you mean easy or lazy? You need to get him used to eating a wider varity of foods!! He doesn't need all that sugar in syrup for breakfast either!!
