I have tried using candy, real panties, toys, and told her if she go's she will get these things. Ive tried a warm cup of water while she is sitting on the potty and just acted like she went "pepe" when she got up and we danced and all that but its not working. She weres her pullups and tells me that shes gone "bobo" , and wants to be changed. I thought she was ready for the potty since she tells me she's gone and tryes to clean herself up. Some one told me her "signs" need to be read, and if its not her sign then she wont do it. But i don't know what that is. Pleas help me. I have a 7 month old girl also. and this it taking too much money on diperes and pullups!!!! I need help...

I have tried to tell him about using the bathroom and I also purchased him a potty chair, he used it once, but he didn't want to finish. Is it true that it is harder to potty train boys? I just need suggestions on how to get him through it.

My son Isaac is turning 4, and has his annual Well-Child Doctors visit. This round, he will be getting 3 immunizations.

He isn't deathly afraid of the doctor (ie, kicking, screaming, crying). But when we go, it has always been for his baby sister. So he always clarifys the WHOLE drive there that "Doctor is for Leah, NOT for Isaac, just Leah" He says that over and over again.

I told him casually that next week, it will be Isaacs turn for the Doctor. He is already objecting. I don't even know how to bring up the fact that he will be getting 3 shots! He saw his sister get 2 of them last week, and so he knows they are NOT fun. But I don't want to just "not tell him", then surprise him horribly in the end by holding him down forcefully so they can have at him!

Do any of you have some suggestions on how to prepare him well? Are there any books you would suggest?
Is this going to be a losing battle anyway? LOL!

I have only son and he's suffering for almost 2 years of his age a block nose. I sent him to the Dr. & they already gave him medication (a nasal spray). My problem is, Do I need to spray his nose every time he had block nose? because he suffered almost everynight & I'm afraid that if I do the spray everynight maybe he will become addected to it, and that I don't want to get it happined. Pls. Help me?

I am currently living with my sister and her fiance, my son is 2 years old and is terrified of my future brother in law. Kids cry we all know that, well when my son cries my BIL comes in and starts yelling at him to stop crying. Or the other day he got scared of something and started crying and my BIL came and asked my son if he needed him to go get his belt so he could spank him...my BIL has a 5 yr. old daughter who cries over nothing and he babies her, not to mention he doesn't spank or threaten to spank her. Am I out of line being that I am staying with them to go off on him when he starts yelling at my child? I don't spank his daughter or threaten her I feel he doesn't have the right to do or say those things to my child...this isn't the only place I can go so should I take my son out of a situation where he is scared of the person he lives with 24-7? His father isn't in his life and he needs positive male figures in his life, just don't know if my BIL is a good one for him to have

My daughter is 2 1/2 and she likes a lot of boys things, like thomas the train and spider man and trucks and stuff. I get a lot of weird comments when I talk to people and I tell them what my daughter likes. Is it really so bad that she has a preference for boys stuff? She also has lots of dolls and girly things too, she plays with them too and acts like a little mommy, and she likes to go shopping for new clothes and such and I do dress her like a girl ( she has no problem with that, just a problem with clothes in general ) but she isnt exclusive to girly things. Should I try to put a stop to it or let her like what she likes? I see no problem with letting her have these types of things. She has fun with them.

He is 5, the only child, stole $100 out of my purse and brought it to school. His grandparents were spoiling him all the time since he was a baby and now he has some kind of obsession about money, is hustling money from everybody even from other people, it gets annoying. I don't know where he would get that habit from, since nobody in my house does that.

My daughter just turned five, she is a very good little girl until she doesn't get her way. She back talks, throws things, and is even worse when she is sent to time out. She is even being physically abusive to her 9 yr old brother when he doesn't do what she wants. My husband and I are at our wits end. Give her her way and she is awsome, dont and she lets you know about it. She only acts like t his with us which is a good thing. When I talk about the way she behaves no one can believe it. I never had this issue with our son. Nothing seems to work.

They are not even playing they just make faces and stay 20 minutes to finish glass of wine, that's all. I spent the whole day with her, some days she doesn't see her father at all. But I play with her, I do everything else when she sleeps.May be I am not enough but should she go to kindergarten to be more happy ? Or what should i do I would understand if children were leaving after an hour of playing, but this.....It's true we rearly have guests in our place, but it's the way we live - my boyfriend is jalous and he gave me hard time when i had someone over even in front of them so i didn't invite anybody after and these were his friends, i live quite lonely but what can i do for my daughter ?

My son now 2 has an anger problem I can't control. He hits kicks thows everything.
he punches his sisters 7 & 8 non stop. We've tried time out (still trying) but he out last me. He's gone 1 hr 25 min running out of his time out spot.Everytime I put him back he comes out kicking and screaming.
We have tried spanking and now he asks to be spanked. He likes it no kidding.
I'm at a major lost as my other 2 never acted this way.
Daycares will no longer aloow him in as he is very mean to the others his age. He is bigger than most at 34pds and 36 inches tall. He bullies anyone he can.

I have been through the terible 2's before, but I have never seen another so nasty..
I have asked the Dr and they tell me "I don't know what to tell you"! Anyone else got a nasty 2yr old that is violent?
He has cracked his 8 yr old sisters head open with a car, Hit is 7 yr old sister with a fly swatter so hard he left welps for 2 days. Bitten his daddy and brought blood.
Anyone please help me!

when told to sit down he will... but only for about two seconds. then he'll get up and start playing like nothing happened. he takes toys away from other kids. i once watched him throw a toy car into the face of my best friend's son(ten days older than mine). he calls others names like "retard" and "stupid". he knows its not nice but doesn't seem to care. he can be the absolute sweetest kid you have ever seen but the past few weeks he just doesn't seem to want to. he is overly intelligent. when he was 1 1/2, he was tested... we were told that he had the mental coppasity of a 3 1/2 year old.
i have to wonder if it might have something to do with the fact that me and his mother live separately? or maybe because she had another baby about eight months ago?
any help or advice anybody could give me would be greatly appreciated. i hope someone can help because his mother is about to lose her head and i don't want that to happen.
i know he knows that what he is doing is bad.
