My son is 2 and skinny and his pants always fall off and not all brands have that adjustment inside the pants to make them fit. He is tall so he needs the length but when I buy him clothes that fit his height then they are too wide in the middle.

I'm in the process of potty training my son. We've been working on this for about the past 3 days. He is doing ok but the main problem is that he doesn't want to tell me when he has to go he wants to just go ahead and go by himself. The problem with this is that he is having a lot of trouble getting his pants and underwear pulled down. Also for some reason he thinks he needs to take the pants & underwear completely off before he sits on the potty. This is causing him to not be able to sit down before he goes and he is getting very frustrated. Do you have any suggestions that might be helpful???

My 20 month old son, has a habit of hitting his head with his hand and he also hits his head on the floor. I've been chalking this up to frustration, but sometimes he does it for no apparent reason. He is developmentally delayed due to medical issues, but is not mentally impaired in any way. Please do not answer this question if you have no experience with this. Any ideas as to what's going on?

We've never had a problem at bedtime before! For the last two weeks she crys and screams that she doesn't want to go to bed. Her bed time hasn't changed, and we read her book before bed as always, but as soon as the book is over the trouble starts. She has a night time lamp, so it's not the dark. I can't figure it out!

I don't want to yell... and I can't give her a time out because time outs are in her bedroom. (she goes in there to sit until she feels that she can cooperate, and that has always worked out well)

Suggestions? Any would be helpful. Thanks!

My 4 year old still throws major fits. He is obsessive about things and if we say or do the wrong thing he has major screaming and crying fits. I don't understand his behavior. This can go on for hours!!!!! Sometimes we have to recreate the senerio so that we do something the way he expected it to be done or said the first time. I realize that he is seeing how far he can push us to get what he wants but what the !#&*@! This is driving us insane! ....does this behavior make sense to anyone????

My son is 19 months old. I've been a full time mom for about 2 months and my husband is deployed. About 2 weeks ago, I started taking my son to the gym with me.
There are two rooms separated by a window partition so that parents can work out and watch their children play at the same time. My problem is that when I leave him in the room he stands at the window, crying and staring at me the entire time I am working out which is about 1 1/2 hrs. I thought I would keep trying and he would get over the crying but he hasn't and its been 2 weeks. I feel like I should just give up on the gym but that doesn't seem like it would solve the underlying problem. I feel like I am being a bad mother and I'm sure other parents are thinking the same. Any advice would be appreciated.

My little girl was really ill for three weeks (possibly viral infection) and in the last two has developed some strange symptoms/behaviour.

She wakes at night screaming and as soon as she is given her pacifier drops back unconscious, she doesn't quickly go back to sleep, she drops straight down as if she was never awake.

She is off her food and fluids, the doctor wants to test her for diabetes but she has the opposite symptoms, her diapers are rarely damp recently.

She has also started having screaming/crying fits in the day where she we can't even make eye contact with her as she cries for 20mins+. During this time she will thrash around and gets very red and sweaty.
After these screaming/crying episodes she is exhausted and is sleeping 18 hours+ each day.

We will be taking her to a pediatrician as our doctor is no use at all, we can't get there until tommorrow so would love any information that may put our mind at ease until then as we are getting very worried, thanks

I had just gotten out of the shower and still drying off when my 3 yr old burst into the room crying about something that one of his brother's had done. All of the sudden he stopped and looked at me, and asked:
"Mommy, what happened to your wee-wee"
" Nothing, why?" trying to hurry up and get dressed.

Well, what happened to your tail? I have one and Daddy, and ...

I laughed so hard, it took me about 20 minutes before I could get dressed.

Okay my daughter is fully potty trained but just in case at night I still put her in pull ups. Ever since she was a baby she has had a an awful diaper rash that never seems to go away. I would've thought that when she wore underware all day long it would go but it's still there. The doctor just gives me cream but it still doesn't work. Does anyone how how I could minimize this at home or any good creams that would actually work for her?
