Usually 3-5yrs. The preschool I worked at required the kids to have turned 3 before the start of the school year. There is some variance depending on where the funding is coming from as well as the organization that runs the program. State regulations may impact it as well.

kids can go to preschool between the ages of 3 and 5 not all kids go to kindergarden at 5 cause birthdays are different. my son will be 7 in december and he is going to first grade.. and my 4 year old is doing pre k for the second year..

Usually around 4, but some kids are ready a little earlier, and some are ready a little later. Most kindergartens take kids starting at 5 years.

Different centers have different programs. Most offer K3 (for 3 yr-olds) and K4 (for 4 yr-olds) programs. Basically the K3 program builds their socials skills and some general academic skills, and the K4 program builds the core preschool skills and continues their socials skills. If your child is enrolled in extracurricular activities or around other children regularly, you probably will only need to send him/her for the K4 program. Keep you child at home with you and enjoy it before they're gone!

Most children go to two years of preschool prior to Kindergarten. So at 3 years of age they start.

My 3.5 year old has been in a Montessori school at least part time for a little over a year. Excellent learning and socializing experience.

no ? is stupid, if you really dont know. no body is born knowing. and pre-school is for 3-4 yr olds. 5 is kinder. and 6 is grade 1. :)
