Okay my daughter is fully potty trained but just in case at night I still put her in pull ups. Ever since she was a baby she has had a an awful diaper rash that never seems to go away. I would've thought that when she wore underware all day long it would go but it's still there. The doctor just gives me cream but it still doesn't work. Does anyone how how I could minimize this at home or any good creams that would actually work for her?

Does she wipe her bottom well when she goes to the potty? My daughter does not always get herself clean and dry before pulling back up her panties. If she is still teething she will still get a rash. She may also be allergic to a certain food (my friend's daughter could not have strawberries or she would get a rash).

My doctor gave me prescription cream and it was the best or bourdeaux butt paste. A natural cream check out this website: http://www.fullcirclebaby.com/catalog.php?category=22
There is also emu cream that works wonders.

here is what i would do. my 2 1/ 2 year old is potty traind full. no pull up s no diapers just undwear. I would take her out of the diaper and leave her in undwear all night long. yes you may have to change the sheets put if you lay down a plastic cover or by one off the bed paids for bladder problems it will save your bed. this will help her not get a rash at night. to clear it up go to a feed store in your town and by a tube of cornnia. it is for anmials but it will clear it up in a matter of a day or two. this is safe i do it with my kids. just rember to take her to the bathroom in the middle of the nught at least once. right before you go to bed. that way she will be full potty train hopes this helps you

It might be something more serious than diaper rash... might be eczema. The cream your doctor gave will not work if your child is taking plenty of bubble baths. Be sure to use a mild soap for sensitive skin... Ivory or Dove were the only soaps I could use before my kids' eczema gradually faded. The less time she spends in water, the better.

Get her out of those pull ups! ASAP! I had the same problem. Once I moved my daughter completely out of pull ups a few months ago, I used that cream that the doctor prescribed for a day or two and it went away. It has not been back. If the cream doesn't work for you, use Gold Bond medicated powder.

Try that stuff they call Butt Paste, it is sold in stores like Walmart in America. It is supposed to work wonders for diaper rash and any other type of skin problem.

Ok, I know this is going to sound crazy but it does work well. My doctor told me to get Liquid Mylanta and use that on the rash. I thought he was nuts but I tried it on my son and it cleared up in a day. Good luck.

The problem with the pull-ups is that they hold moisture to the body so they can "feel" when they are wet. Stop using them ASAP. If you must use something at night try good-nights--they hold more pee and pull it away from the skin.

Is she still getting her molars in? A lot of babies and toddlers get bad diaper rash while teething. My son is getting his molars in right now and has little bumps on his bottom right now. Try A&D ointment. It has vasseline in it and it helps keep pee off of the skin.

Could it be a heat rash from too many covers? With the PullUps and blankets she may just be too warm. Just a thought.

Make sure she is sitting forward when she is peeing and wiping very well.

Try to get her out of the pullups! And let her sleep in just a nightie no undies...so she can air dry. :) Just get one of those plastic covers for her mattress.

Good luck!
