Chicken, pork, and peanut butter are all good sources of protien. Milk is, too. It doesn't really sound like he has a problem but if you are still worried, look up a nutrition site for the amount (usually grams) of protien a 2 year old needs. Then you can measure how much he is getting from the sources he already eats.

Beans, nuts, peanut butter or other nut butters. The most complete protiens are found in meat, meat products such as milk, and seafood. Some protein amino acids are found in tofu, lentils, peanut butter and eggs, in addition to dairy products. He should not eat too much or too little protein. Some of the healthiest complete protiens he can eat are salmon and other fish high in Omega 6 fatty acids, turkey, chicken and eggs. Try fish sticks from your local health store geared to children. Or mix his veggies with some beans. Create a counting game with him by you and him picking up the cooked veggies and beans as you count them.

that is great he loves his veggies! peanut butter is terrific if he is healthy and has no weight issues. red meat is better left uneaten. I have a great 12 inch non-stick wok shaped frying pan with a handle (any dept. store, I got mine at Kohl's on sale for around $15?) and I stir fry lots of chicken. I prepare some veggies and throw 'em in the pan with some chicken and season it up. The mozzarella sticks are great. perhaps have him eat 1 at every meal or between... or try putting cheeses in the stir fry!!! HERE is a great one... RICOTTA CHEESE. Put a spoonful on his plate next to the veggies. he can dip and dab at it and my kids LOVE their ricotta.

Have you tried salmon? or shrimp or clams or lunch meat (turkey)? Sometimes my lil sis doesn't want chicken and fish or porkchop, so we'd give her a meat stick, like the pepperoni flavored one at 7-11 or any supermarket/liqour store.

my son LOVES to put peanut butter on almost everything. He will even scoop it up on his chicken nuggets! As long as he is not overweight it would be fine to give him peanut butter with other foods to encourage him to try new things and they will taste better to him too.

Maybe try getting him to drink Ensure if he won't eat. It will help keep him healthy and strong.
