Children misbehave because they have to be taught to be otherwise. You need to be a parent who is brave enough to stand up to them and actually be a parent and has the knowledge on how to make them behave.

John Richmond's advice is sound and works. (See link below.)
Try his techniques. It produces happy, secure, children and a more peaceful home.

If it sounds different that what you are used to, or too strict, try it anyway. It makes sense and is how people raised the last generation of children that were non-coddled, imaginative, respectful of authority, self directed, more self disciplined, self-reliant and knew better how to handle life's hard knocks.

Pretty good stuff.

And good luck! You can do it. Everyone will be happier.

There's nothing wrong with your kids. You just probably need to be a little firm with their discipline. My daughter was a fighter, biter, and spitter. With some firm discipline and some stern words she pretty much stopped the behavior in days. Kids can also sense when their parents are frustrated and indecisive. Get yourself together and you will get your kids together too.

I'm not sure Michelle C. knows what malicious means.

Anyway, are your kids malicious with each other, or you or other children? And what are their ages? I think kids are naturally malicious toward siblings. Just make sure you let them know that you wont tolerate it.
My sister was absolutely evil toward me and the rest of us kids, but we're all grown up now and we are all productive citizens.
Good luck!

How old are your children? Because based on Freud's "Stages of Development", between ages 3-6, their "pleasure parts" are their genitals. This stage is what we call "Phallic stage". Don't worry, after they've passed that stage until puberty, they'd forget about it and start concentrating on socializing with other children.

Unless they get "fixated" on their stage, they'd be more likely to stay malicious until they've gotten over it.
