My daughter is 4 years old and weighs 56 lbs. is that to big and she is tall for her age she looks 6 years old with her height. It seems to me that she wants to eat all the time and I think she is getting fat so sometimes I have to stop her and have to tell her that she can have it later. What should I do, do you think this could be a medical problem.

He never used to bite. But his friend is bigger then him and they used to wrestle but now my son doesn't want to. He just let's his friend get on top of him and starts screaming. The other day the other kids dad was watching them and he told my son to "bite his nipple off" and of course my son bit him. (I have already chewed the dad out!) Of course his friend got off of him. Now my son has learned that biting gets his friend to do what he want. So he is biting him all the time. He doesn't bite anyone else though. What do I do to stop this?

My little girl is 20 months old and we are having a hard time getting her to keep her diaper on! She's really smart and she has very good verbal skills so she understands "poop" and "pee pee". She can even tell me when her diaper is wet or "stinky" as she calls it. We've started introducing the potty on a daily basis, gettting her to sit on it for a few minutes each day. Is it time to potty train her? It just seems so soon. You have to understand she's my first child...my baby's growin up! Also any tips would be helpful.

My kids LOVE Lunchables but I would like to save some money and make them myself. Do you know where I can find a container that is divided like the lunchables dishes? It needs to be small enough to fit in a kid's lunchbox but with 3 or 4 different compartments.

My daughter is 3 1/2 and is dry during the day, has been for 18 months, only uses a nappy at night. She wants to go to bed without a nappy so ive let her, but she keeps wetting the bed. ive not made a fuss, told her it will take a bit of practice, im not pressuring her at all, if she wants to wear a nappy some nights, thats fine. I would really love to get her dry at night though - any ideas please? Ive stopped drinks before bed, but she is a heavy heavy sleeper and doesnt seem to wake in the dead of night at all.

Any ideas much appreciated!

My daughter could walk at 16 months, but I could not, nor my hubby, nor her grandparents, get her to walk. Then once she went to daycare, she walks and plays and everything we couldn't get her to do for the daycare provider! Has this happened to any of you out there? My daughter is very determined and stubborn as well? How would you handle this, as she is a twin? She's 2 now.

I have a 3 year old boy and I am a stay at home mom with his dad working 2 jobs so dad isn't here a lot. I have read a lot about potty training boys and having dad do it but I don't have that option here. I really want my child out of pull ups and soon. He starts school in Aug and I don't want him in pull ups. He will sit on the potty and do nothing. He stands from time to time as well. As he is sitting on the potty and he thinks he has to go he will ask me to put a pull up on him. If he is just playing around the househe tells me he is wet or stinky after the fact. Bribes don't work, letting him run around naked doesn't work, watching potty videos and reading books doesn't seem to interest him enough to go. I am dealing with a real stubborn child and just like other children "NO" is his favorite word Starting tomorrow we are going to really really start training but I need some serious advice, maybe some proven advice, tricks of the trade or whatever, just help!!!

He is very smart and he picks up on things fast. I will be home with him until January. I figure that I should take advantage of the time we have at home together and not just play all the time. Any suggestions for the kind of things I should include in our "learning time"?

When my son was 16 months old we along with his pediatrician decided enough was enough with the ear infections. After 11 months of non-stop ear infections we proceeded to have the surgery to put the tubes in his ears. Before the tubes were in place we were noticing problems with his speech due to the fluid on his ears. ( he was saying plenty of words but some he would say without the ending and other's we could only understand because we were around him on a daily basis) Now 5 1/2 months after having the surgery his speech is improving. However, we're noticing a little bit of a problem still. Has anyone else had this problem? Is anyone familiar with activities to encourage vocabulary and proper speech? Are they're any web sites that are designed with games/activity ideas to help with this? I appreciate anyone's input on this!

I have no money to go places and the weather outside is already very hot. I have a problem with heat. We do go outside everyday to the park which is right around the corner. But after a while they get bored with that. Most activites indoors are hard because the 1 1/2 year old is a little terror. My 3 year old cannot paint or do other arts and crafts unless the younger one is asleep. What activities can I do indoors that they both can be a part of?

It looks like bad plaque particularly at the top of some teeth. Granted she makes teeth brushing difficult but the yellowing seems worse than our less-than-perfect brushing. Suggestions?

My daughter is 5 years old. My mom, her grandmother, recently had a stray cat and decided to take care of it. My daughter loved that cat, it was, like, her baby or something. Yesterday, it got hit by a car and died. I was going to tell her that it just ran away,,,,,,,, but I don't think I can handle going to my mom's and watching my daughter wait for the cat to come back, knowing that it never will. My daughter is very mature and she is very smart for her age, I feel like she deserves to know the truth, but I don't want to cause her any hurt. Thanks.
