I asked this question yesterday and people took it the wrong way. I'm gonna try to explain it better.
If you have an ugly child how would you feel? Would you feel responsisible for the way your child looks? Everytime someone mocks your child because of they way they look would you feel to blame? Would you force your child to get plastic surgery to fix their imperfection so they won't have to suffer with what you caused? What would you do if you have an unattractive child and you know they're misrable because of how they look. I know every parent thinks their child is beautiful in someway but what if you know that what you think is not true.
BTW- People made fun of my user name last night with this question. I'm not obese, it's an inside joke I have with my friends. According to many I'm attractive so don't make fun of me when u don't know me. I'm not a parent but I've always wonder about this question.
Please Don't be mean. If I marry an unattractive man will our kids suffer?

I am so sick of people freaking out about spanking your children. I was spanked and I spank my children. I dont get out of control and beat them, never have and never will, my mom did use to beat us pretty bad, but I will never beat my children. However they do need disciplne, and I find that a swat on their butt does not kill them regardless of popular belief. I also beleive that if some of these sniffling brats now days were spanked more often they wouldnt act the way they do. I just want to know where you stand on spanking your kids.

My brother has a PSP and I have a DS, so I figured I'd bring those. There's a DVD player in the car, but we don't have any new movies and the kids will only sit still for so long.

I guess I could bring coloring books. Maybe some snacks like Goldfish or something. Ummm ...

See, the thing is we're going to be doing most of our driving during the day. So I need ideas of stuff to keep them not-annoying!! xD

Also, we leave tomorrow (I pretty much just found out) so there's no time to go out and buy anything ...

And if you have any ideas for kid songs, tell me because I'm planning to make some CDs. The kids love songs like Who Let The Dogs Out and stuff like that.

Britney had children when she was married, Lynne has grown children that are both famous and is still married to her husband, and Jamie Lynn has a hit tv show and her boyfriend wants to support her. So who do you think is the less trashiest of the Spears women. Oh by the way I would like it if you only picked one of the 3 women listed here, you can't say none of them, or say all of them. Thanks!

In previous years, we have went overboard with gifts for my son but he sometimes got so much it overwhelmed him...this year we got him a drum kit but only a few other smaller gifts like dvds and cds. i also told family members not to buy toys and to get him clothes or books cause to be honest they just arent appreciated. hes had the best xmas ever and has played with his drums constantly....why do parents keep buying their kids mountains of toys when the kids dont appreciate them?surely we are spoiling their characters by teaching them they can have anything they want?

Do you feel that it is normal for a 5 year old (in this case, my boyfriends son - a boy), wets the bed at night? He rarely stays with his father, but when he is with his mother, she loads him up on drinks. She is never thinking about potty training him, atleast for now. Also, when my boyfriends son stays with him every now and then, he just HAD to sleep in the same bed? Isn't that bad? His mother, I feel, is not doing a good job raising him, since she is his care taaker. Thoughts on this?

How will they see them

2007-12-27 05:32:59 · 9 answers · asked by Barflander 1

I do. But I l know some parents that just plop them in front of the TV, or buy them a toy and leave them with it, for an hour or 2, or even 3. I also know kids that see there baby sitter more often then there parents! And it's not even because there busy! It's because they go to dinner, dinenr partys, partys, Bars, stuff that couples without children would do! And I am the babysitter! But I have got to know the kids I babysit so well, that it's no bother. And my kids have no problem with it, neither does my husband. But I just can't stand it how a parent would do that to there children. I have a 6 year old and an 8 year old. I always do activities with them, crafts, baking, knitting, coloring, shopping. And so does my husband, so we have great relatonships with our kids. I'm just curious about you people out there? Dad's escpecially, but mothers to. Do you really spend time with your kids? If so what do you do?

NP- nighttime paralysis
Once he gets home from work he sits on the couch and ask me to get him some tea, get this, do that, hand him this, hand him that, let the dogs out/in, watch the baby. I told him last night I wanted him to see a doctor as soon as possible or his condition. He laughed and got the hint .

Me and my Husband,Jay have 3 kids so we have hired a Nanny.

The Nanny was watching the kids, so me and Jay went upstairs for gentle sex, seeing as i'm pregnant.

Our 6 year old wanted something from her room. You know how it is, She couldnt find it. So she walked in to our room and asked where it was.

We didnt hear her come up and she saw us, because we didnt have a cover over us and to make things worse we were both Naked.

She keeps asking what we were doing, but both of us change the subject straight away!

Any suggestions on what to tell her, because shes way too young to know about sex!

Has this happened to you before?

I am a single mom and have raised my daughter alone for the last 11 years.she is a senior in high school and will be leaving off to college next fall. All these years my life was pretty much whatever she was doing , she has always been active in band and all types of other groups in school so i was always there cheering and encouraging her. I just wonder how do parents cope with this. I would never hold her back or even tell her of the anxiety I am feeling , so i thought I would get advice from parents or single parents of how they handled their situations.

He is a total sweetheart and cares about me but he wants to go into real estate, not medicine like my parents like and I'm afraid they wont let me continue dating him because of that? His mom is trying to get him to continue in the medicine field.

Also, he is moving to NJ soon and that doesn't mean our relationship will end but if im going to be 18 then ( I'm 17 now), then how can i let me my parents let me go visit him?

My daughter is 14.5 months old and for almost a week now she's been getting up in the middle of the night screaming. I know she wants us to come get her and put her in the bed with us so we made the mistake of doing that just once and now she's been waking up every night. Last night we tried putting her in her bed and letting her cry it was terrible it took her almost 1.5 hours to fall asleep she screamed and cried mommy the whole time. Is it possible she'll do the same thing tonight? What should I do? Also, I'm pregnant so this really is wearing me out.

On Christmas Day everyone in our family was at our house, Seeing as it is biggest. I have 3 kids, the 6 year old and 3 year old played with their cousins. The youngest, Saffron(6months) needed breastfeeding.

Me and my husband were cooking, only 5 of about 25 people helped, when Saffron was hungary, i had to give her a bottle, which she doesnt enjoy.

Each year everyone comes around to our house, but by this time next year, i will have two who are breastfeeding, so i need some tips on how to manage next year!

Did you manage to get around this or was everybody stuck like me??

I personally think it's good to teach a kid a lesson, but makes me wonder what happens behind the doors of their home. I wanna hear your opinion!
