We are parent of a two years old son, who has not started talking yet. We know, he does not have any vision or hearing problem, as we know that and also done testing and all OK on this. We consult a child neurologist and also done MRI testing, nothing unusual comes out. He does not listen to us and barble a lot through out the day. We know he does not have any IQ problem, as he does all that he sees. Other developments are fine, we are worried a lot what to do to make him talk. Any advise will be wholeheartedly appreciated.

I am having the hardest time getting prepared for christmas. My fiance has problems all the time with his ex wife and from a recent fall out christmas, that we have with our children every year, has been canceled with his kids because they can't see us. I can't explain to my six year old that the kids mom Is psycho and we won't be having our traditional christmas and still smile so she don't get upset. Not the mention the way people are acting In the streets. I'm scared to turn the news on people are stealing toys from churches and killing people right and left.

Help....I want to have a merry christmas but so much drama Is going on!!

A couple just moved next door to us. The wife works a full time job, just like I do. My wife told me tonight that she wanted to confront this woman, because she was telling our neighbors that moms should stay at home and not let daycares or babysitters raise their kids. This woman doesn't work, and her husband obviously makes good money, cause they drive nice cars and have a nice house. My wife works, due to debt we got while I was out of work for awhile, and also unexpected repairs and stuff that has come up, that she can't afford to stay at home. My wife had been told by another neighbor that this woman was saying the same stuff to this woman, and was saying that a couple shouldn't have kids if they are not going to stay home with them. She wants to confront her, what should she say? or should she not bother talking to her?

ok, so i was talkin to my friend. they have always been homeschooled. well my friend is trying to get her GED, but her sister isnt even doing the requirments for a High School student. her sis is only 14. this is illegal right?? my friend says shes just lazzy, and she doesnt want to do it, but she does it. just not the requiermints. is there any way to help her "make her work fun". now trust me, her sister is VERY VERY lazy and she needs to go to Boot Camp, cause she yells @ her mom, and when they tell her to do something, she NEVER does it, and they dont enforce it. And when they tell her NOT to get on the comp,a dn they leave she goes right on the comp. It makes me so mad that her parents dont do anything, all they do is yell @ her, and that only makes is WORSE!! im only 19 and i dont think i should be giving the parents advice on how to raise there kid when ive never had kids, but how do i do something about this??? :( help me please, shes driving her parents MAD!

long story short. 4 1/2 mo. old baby, been good so far seen her 40 times or so. we not toghther despie me trying countless times. mom is controling and not undrestanding that im our daughters father. like i said been real good with providing, and gladly paying more than the orderd support. cant get anywhere with the mom, always her scedule. I proposed a visitation plan involving aprox 130 days a year with my daughter, clear cut and consise about times and dates (so no loopholes are present). first mediation with her folks was tonight. she comes back with a plan that only let me see my daughter 7hrs a week! with no overnights untill she is 18mo. I own a nice home and have a good job, she is 24 I am 33. Ive tried to be great to her and my new daughter and she just wont let me. I said this proposal Is not enough time and im not signing it, do you think 1/3 of the time with our daughter is too much to ask?, and does she stand a chance of getting awarded 7 hrs a week?

My son is 2 years old, but is still not speaking yet. Sometimes he acts like he understands us, but not consistently. Lately, he has been removing his diaper to urinate and deficate on the floor or furniture. This is VERY GROSS, and we're trying to get ideas on what to do to stop this behavior. To me this is a sign that he is ready to be potty trained, but how do you train a child who can't speak and may not understand? If potty training is not the answer, then what is?

This is my first year hiring an au pair to live with us from Germany and help out with the kids. My question is what should I do for Christmas? In the past, I've had one babysitter come a day a week or so, and I would give her 100-150 dollar gift card. But the au pair will be with us christmas morning and she works 5 days a week. Any ideas? I was thinking giving her a weekend at my ski house for her and a few au pair friends without us there, but I need to give her stuff to actually unwrap...any ideas are welcome. I am looking to spend about 500 on her? thanks!

She was in these see-thru little panties and bra set, and he was in boxers. The both looked as tho they meant for what they were wearing to be seen by the other.
His hand was very inappropiately placed.
Should I wake him and tell him to wake her or just yell and wake them both??
Will she be all embarassed cuz she is paractically naked?? Will he be mad or worried about how my husband and I will react??
Should I quietly wake my son and tell him to wake his g/f or just wake them both at once by freaking them out?? they are both 16.
Should I wake him and tell him to wake her or wake her and freak her out?? My hubby wants to put on some pjs, wake her and let her sleep in our bed and then he wants to climb in my sons bed and wait for him to wake up. Should he??

Usually its just my daughter and my son here and they play mutual sex games...i.e board games, riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline, etc. My step daughter is here with us for 2 weeks and she is more girlie than my daughter so the girls are going off to play barbies and house which leaves my son playing by himself and he feels hurt and left out . How do I get them to include him and play something they are all interested in without hampering the girls fun? BTW I have a newborn who requires most of my attention (colic) and can't sit down myself for very long to play with my son while the girls are doing their own thing...AND the hubby is deployed to IRAQ so he cant help out either. PLEASE give me your SERIOUS suggestions.

My 10 year-old stepdaughter is originally from Africa. She moved in with my husband and I about a year ago. I'm a plus-sized woman. I'm about the same size as actress/singer Queen Latifa but smaller than Mo'nique. My step-daughter is reed thin although she eats well, all day, everyday. We were on the net and stumbled upon a funny article about a guy who is a professional "icecream taster" for Baskin Robins. She said she would love that job. I said I would too. She then snapped "NO that job is not for you! You will just become more big then you already are!" Another time she saw one of my exercise DVDs. She said, "You need to do this now! You are too big!" She always says these things in an angry, frustrated tone. I've been ignoring the remarks. Once she asked me, "How do you find clothes? I have never seen clothes for a person as big as you." How would you respond to these remarks? And no I'm not going on a diet b/c a 10 yr old doesn't like my body. My husband likes it just fine.

Do you think once a child learns that Santa Claus doesn't exist that they lose part of that childhood innocence? I can remember when I found Santa didn't exist I also immediately asked about the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny too and in turn found out it was all made up. I can remember the let down of feeling like my parent's had lied to me. However, while I understand the true meaning of Christmas, I have made sure to maintain that childish love for the make believe of it all with Santa Claus and still carry that magic onto my children ( 5 and 3 ). I will never lose my childhood ways to Santa as I think it helps adults feel like a child again believing in the magic of it all. As a parent, I realize a day will come when my children learn the truth as well...but does that mean they have to stop believing in the magic and lose part of the innocence that makes childhood a childhood?
