Tonight as my daughter was in her first Christmas concert evre (she is 4) I sat in the audience and watched her enter the stage. At the tender age of 4 she walked on stage and sang Christmas songs. It was the proudest moment of my life. She knew every word and she was so proud of herself. As I sat in the audience and videotaped her, tears of joy ran down my face because I was so happy I had raised such an intelligent, happy, beautiful litttle girl who appreicates the meaning of Christmas. After the concert she waved at me...It was so special to me. Her father and I separated this year and she has been through so much, She is still so eager to make me proud. God Bless her. She is the light of my life.

Like everyone else my children do things every day that make me proud. But I think that maybe you are looking for a specific time or a tale so...My 1st grade son was told by his teacher to quiet down, when she had to ask him again she told him that he would loose his recesses the following Monday. Monday came and the teacher forgot but my son remembered and sat out. The teacher was really proud of his honesty and so were his father and I. He has a thing about being honest, and he's only 6. THAT makes me proud.

Lots of stuff. They got good grades in school, marched in band, played sports, were pretty well-behaved when they were young. All grown now. One is a PhD candidate, one is about to graduate with a BFA, and one is on a full academic scholarship in college. Another is working hard to get back into school for fashion design. They make me proud of them every day because they do their best, are honest, respect others, and are really great adults now.

I dont know any "real" parent who wouldnt think everything their child does makes them proud! Yes there are times when you say to yourself who's kid is this, when they are acting up but even the smallest thing makes you tear up. I cant name moments bec there are to many but there have been many times I have had tears of joy over my kids bec they made me proud and my boys are only 6 and my daughter is 2.

My at the time 10 month old son would come in the bathroom and rub and hug my back while I was vomiting during morning sickness, and now he gives me kisses and comes and sit next to me when I am feeling tired. I think he really understands I don't feel good.

My 11 year old daughter asks if she can quiz me for my final exams. She is so thoughtful and sweet. When I look at her and the choices she makes I know we are doing an OK job of parenting. Because she is an exceptional little girl.

My son makes me proud daily! He is an adult now, and STILL wraps his arms around me to hug me when he sees me, no matter WHERE we may be! He also makes sure his friends know that while I may have been a strict Mom, I raised him right! Proud?? YOU BET

I look at my three grown daughters and wonder how I could be so lucky.
Each are independent women, mature, sensible, loving and thoughtful.
Things did not always come easy and they did without a lot but they were thankful just the same.

What makes me proud is when we go out to dinner and my kids (six and two years old) are sitting. They aren't yelling and they say please and thank you to the waitress. The other dinner guests come and tell me that they appreciated how well behaved my children are. They are pretty good kids. Sometimes I don't think it's the parenting. I just got blessed!!
