My mom did when I was 18 except for every once in awhile it stayed like that for over 20 years just because I moved out and took my son with me. i was over 18 and she didn't agree with me leaving. She hardly ever saw my kids until they were grown. Please never totally disown your kids they did not ask to be brought into this world. My 28 year old was a handful all her life and we had many arguments resulting in awful things said by us both but she always knew I was here for her no matter what. 11 months ago she was murdered by her BF her and I had augued the day before which sometimes resulted in our not speaking for awhile but because I knew she was upset with her BF I went to visit her and tell her I loved her around 8 hours later she was dead. I say this to spare any parent the anguish of letting the last words be angry ones. Trust me if you lose a child it is horrible no matter but if your last words were in anger well all I can say is I proably wouldn't be able to live with myself

My 8 year old daughter, and my 3 year old daughter share a room. That part I dont mind. My 8 year old is like a little mommy to the 3 year old ever since shes been born. My problem that Im having is that my 8 year old wants the 3 year old to sleep in her bed with her every night. Is this wrong to let her do this or not to let her do this? I let her read a story to her and tuck her into bed to make her feel helpful(Im there, but not there, Im in my room listening). I need opions and help here.

we went to a get together with the family and my niece was there and she just started having a runny nose and cough. When my daughter in law and son showed up within the hour they were leaving because she did not want to get the baby sick. There were relatives they have not seen in months. I was very hurt and now she is mad saying I knew all along someone was sick and did not tell her. I did not know anyone was sick that day I did know a few weeks back some of them were but they were over it already. She is now saying to my son I am not going to your moms house for any holidays and he has told her that she will not keep their child from me. How do I handle this?

Today my 8 y/o daughter was watching the Disney Channel at 2:30 p.m. The show was The Proud Family. It is a cartoon. She does not usually watch this program, but it was what was on at the time.

I saw and heard this personally. On the program, 3 girls were having a conflict with another girl at school. One of the girls said "She's a bi-atch" (pronounced bee-atch) which is the teen slang version of *****.

The Disney Channel said ***** to our precious children at 2:30 in the afternoon!

What good is the V-chip now?

I'm interseted in learning about how to create good places for children to read at home and, ways to encurage reading at home. Are there certain enviroments or factors that might make reading easier? I want the children to be intrested in reading on their own. How have you done it or how would you have done it in a perfect senierio.

My husband and I spend a lot of our social time with his siblings. The one's we spend most of our time with are either just about to get married or don't have any kids yet. They all enjoy spending time with us and our three girls, because they want kids themselves. But I often find myself jealous of their freedom and their new relationships. And it bugs me that we aren't like we were when we were first together anymore, since we hardly have alone time without kids and my husband never treats me special anymore. I kind of wish now that we would have waited to have kids until all of them do. Mostly so that we could do all of the activities and go on dates with them, without our kids. But also because I see them travelling and going to school and having good careers, and we missed out on those things. Is it normal to have these feelings? Is there any way to make me feel better? Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and we do have some friends with kids that we enjoy time with.

On Oprah today, there was a lady on that has forgiven her husband for murdering their five year old twins because she says he was sick and that he didn't have enough of a grasp on reality to know what he was doing. He says he'd thought about killing them for a long time, but didn't tell anyone because they'd take his kids away. That says to me he had a pretty firm grasp on reality- I personally couldn't forgive my husband if he murdered my child- do any of you think it's possible? Or is she just as sick as he is?

What would you do if you were in a movie theater watching a movie and your child had to go pee badly and were squirming and crying because they had to go so badly and you did not want to miss any parts of the movie?

If your child is not between the ages of 1-13 please do not answer this question.

If you answer please tell how old your child is today?

I have seven children in total and my wife and I have five children together, we are constantly told we have too many despite the fact that we are financially able to provide for all of them.
What is wrong with wanting lots of kids when we are in love with every single one of them?
My wife is now pregnant with our sixth child and we couldn't be happier but I am nervous about telling my parents, friends and siblings. What do you think?
Our youngest child is 1yr old and our oldest is 13yrs old-and no we don't rely on him to look after the younger ones we recognise that as individuals all our children need their own space.

how could someone wrap their hands around a little neck and drown the baby in the bathtub, how could someone throw a 9 month old into a closet and leave him there for 3 hours, how do people live with themselves? How could someone even sleep at night and come up with these situations or thoughts.
