how could someone wrap their hands around a little neck and drown the baby in the bathtub, how could someone throw a 9 month old into a closet and leave him there for 3 hours, how do people live with themselves? How could someone even sleep at night and come up with these situations or thoughts.

There are many answers to those questions. Some are horrifying. People can do terrible things because they hurt or because they don't care or because they are mentally ill. People without hope will also do terrible things. People who hate will also. There are also scared people. Finally, very disciplined people will follow a leader's instructions, usually without much thought. If the leader gives bad instructions they are carried out the same as good instructions. Consider Nazi Germany. Not everyone who participated was evil. Some were scared to death.
Under normal conditions, it is repulsive to think of hurting a child. From history we know that desperate people do terrible things. You only hope and pray that you never find yourself desperate enough to consider a horrible act.

It sickens me, and makes me wonder what must have been going on in their mind. I guess I just don't get it becaus even if I had fallen off the deep end, I think I'd still have enough sense to place my child in a safe place, leave, and call somebody (probably my husband) and let him know so the kids would be taken care of. I figure 10 minutes of being alone in a safe place is better for my sanity, than killing my children - I mean, I've been pretty upset sometimes, and couldn't go that far.

That being said - I'm sure I don't even come close to understanding what is going through one's mind when they are able to do that to an innocent child - I love my babies :)

It's terrible and horrific to kill anyone but yes, hearing about children seem to tear me up more. When you think of children, you think innocence, they don't know or do any wrong, and they always speak what's on their mind. The people that harm children have mental issues and unfortunantly many of them go to a mental institution instead of prison many times, and then they are free when they are "sane" again. Thank God I am not in high authority or things wouldd be a little different! ;)

Yes, it is obviously very disturbing for me as I think it would be for most people in the human race. It takes someone very sick to want to harm such a innocent child, or anyone for that matter. There should be a test you have to pass before you become a parent but obviously this will never be possible and there will always unfortunately be sickos who get joy over causing such harm.

It does, and I support your feelings greatly.
I live where the poor Marcus Feisel was abused and terrified... How on God's green earth can they live with themselves doing these things... It's just painful to think about.

I have no compassion for anyone who murders a child; rapes a child; abuses a child, etc.

I believe in the death penalty and I think those that murder children should be put to death and make it swift...none of this "sittin' on death row" crap.

If you rape or physically abuse a child I think you should be sentenced to life in prison, no parole, and put their a** in gen-pop.
