Swearing, especially using the F-word, makes teens feel self-assertive and part of an elite group (kinda like teenage rebels). They know when it is inappropriate but they are testing their limits. As a parent, you need to be firm and not allow such language in your presence. Talking "potty mouth" can quickly become a habit that is very hard to break. Remember, you, too, have to set an example.

Why do people think it's funny to replace words with toilet?? Remember a few years ago?? Everything was "hamster" and "cheese" at an attempt to be random and funny except it wasn't random because EVERYONE thought it was random and it wasn't funny because it wasn't random.... try some more grown-up humor and then maybe people will laugh.
