I'm not spending insane money on this, nor waiting in line. What's good for kids that are used to gameboys? And game advice would be good too, Girl: 15, boy:9, almost 10

my son turned 9 months old on november 3rd and he now can sit up unsupported. he learned that about 5 weeks ago....he can not crawl but when i stand him up next to a table, he loves it and does not like when i put him back down so it does seem like he has some motivation. I just think he is lazy on other things. as for food...i give him 3-8 ounce bottles and 2 jars of food a day...any more and he will puke. he is defintely not ready for 3rd foods, table foods, bread finely chopped up, greber bicuits or puffs...he constanly will gag. when my daughter was his age, she was way ahead of him in everything. does anybody have a child that is just taking their time?

i pride myself on my organizational skills.....although i am a procastionater...can you be both? i guess thats another question for another day....anyway... ill give you an idea that i am so orgaized ...everything is color coded ..even xmas presents...my son who is 10 has color coded his books for each subject.....he does not stay organized with it...what more can i do other than going thru his books every evening or going to school with him to make sure he has everything in its proper place...this has become a big deal because he has not been turning in homework because he has forgotten or has lost it. but i know that he has done it because i check it every nite....i work some evenings...and also have a 1 year old....i feel outta control because hes not staying organized...what can i do? and is it my fault because im over organized and did alot of what hes reponsible for now for years?

my son is 10. he is very unorganized. i help him out as much i as i can but he seems to be losing homework and not finishing in class assignments. we had parent teacher conferneces last week and found out that in 2 classes he had incomplete assignments. the teacher gave us until the end of the week to make things up. we made sure we did. even tho he is very smart gets great grades on tests and teachers enjoy him, his unorganizational habits have brought his grades down to below an 80 in 2 classes. he turned in stuff for one class, but didnt for the other. he said he "forgot". other than holding his hand at school what can i do? my hubby decided he needed to be spanked i was not at home at the time that the report card came home with all this info. i would have taken his electronics away. my hubby said he did that too.

what should have been done? and what can i do about my son?

After this episode the patient can relate to you the sounds she made, songs etc. Does this happen or could my elderly mother be doing this for sympathy. She has a long history of hypochondriac behavior.

Say your child when putting their tooth under their pillow at night writes the tooth fairy a letter, does the tooth fairy respond to that letter or does she/he just leave the money and run?

My son came home from school yesterday bloody and badly bruised. He told me that his teacher and her assistant beat him with their personal collection of whips and chains because he lied about having his homework done. I have warned my son over and over again about lying to his teachers. My son is in a private school where beatings are allowed and though he has been beaten before never has it been this severe. Should I take my son out of this school or should I just allow him to take this as a "I told you not to lie lesson"??? Help

My stepmom threw my Star Wars toys in a garbage burner and broke several of my toys with her cowboy boots. She even backed over my one of my plastic spaceships with her pickup. Did anything like this happen to you as a kid?

My little girl has just turned 7, she is beautiful, clever, funny and the nicest person to be with 85% of the time, the other 15% I would rather be anywhere else!!

She has a tantrum over the stupidest things, yesterday it was over what bread we were buying in supermarket, the day before because I went through the door first and she wanted to!! I do not give in to her and she gets sent to her room until she calms down which could be hours later, I try to be patient but I usually end up losing my temper with her, she always says sorry when its over but its just words, she knows its the right thing to say!!

Me and her dad separated about 18 months ago and she was fine with the split - seemed to see it more as an adventure, maybe now reality is kicking in??

Please, somebody give me some advice, cos last night it got so bad that I actually discussed her going to stay with her dad for a while cos we just cant go on like this anymore!!

I am a single man looking for a woman to explore the possibility of conceiving and raising a child together, sharing childcare and all major decisions. I am not interested in being a sperm donor and would want active involvement in every aspect of parenting.

Do you think there should be curfews for children 17 and under?

I there should so there be less threats on the streets and if the child breaks the curfew the parents get fined!

My son is 7.5 months old.

He is very weak and just of average weight.

The problem is that he does not take any other food apart from mother,s feed. The mothers' feed is not sufficient.

He clenches his lips very tight and refuses to eat any other thing that we try to feed him (cerelac, mashed fruits/vegetable etc.).
So he remains hungry for upto 24 hours and keep crying all the time.

If we force him by persisitng for long, he immediately vomits out whatever he has eaten.

But when he has taken mothers feed, he is hapy for sometime and does not vomit.

What could be wrong? How to rectify the problem?
