Spank their butt. Then march them over to apologize and help the person. After that, we'd have a LOOOONG talk about how we treat people. I don't allow rude behavior. Period.

FOR ONE THAT IS RUDE My child would be in so much trouble it would not be funny but my child will have respect for others. That is something you need to teach in kids for today world. You don't laugh at people What if it was a skinny person fell down and tore a hole in their pants? Would you if be funny then. The thing is it is not Nice to laugh at people.

Imn sorry, but I have a sense of humor (i cant help it seriously my whole family is this way except my late dad) where if someone falls something like that (as long as itts not serious and they arent old) I cant help but think its funny. I once spilled coffee on someone on the train--it was cold by then, and he looked so mad, i apologized profusely and had to get off before I started laughing about it in front of them)..so if I saw someone do that I would try very hard to control my laughing and probably tell my daughter that even though she wants to laugh she must not laugh in front of him/her because it would really hurt his feelings.

I'd have a hard time not laughing myself but yet again a child needs to learn respect for others so it'd be a tough situation as to whether I would laught along with the child or if I would be angered with the child

In all honesty:
It's wrong to shame a child for laughing at what is truely funny. Humor makes the world worth living in. It makes politics watchable. It makes every day life liveable for some. If I was to talk to my child, I would say the following:
Although watching that person was a bit funny, lets go make sure that they are alright. If you fell down other people could laugh at you, and if you wanted help up and people just stood around laughing at you it would hurt your feelings (and your bum haha)

I will not go well with me if my child laughs at anyone for thier weight or flaws. Everyone has feelings. I would have a long talk and explain to them that it isnt nice and by treating people or laughing at them is uncalled for and Rude. Grounded wout be next. Everyone has been made fun of in life and think about that moment

If they laughed at what happened then I would just explain that we don't do that.
If they laughed because something bad happened to a "fat" person, then I would beat their asses! I won't condone discrimination of anytype in my home. I don't care what group they discriminate against it won't happen here.

Tell them that it is wrong to laugh in peoples faces especially if they are fat. Then teach them the proper way to laugh behind peoples backs.

Spank them and tell them you will humiliate them in some way if it happens again. I find putting a kids harness on them in oublic can do the trick for a kid over five.
Give them a chance first though, spank on the first occasion and humiliate them on the second. Good luck.
