I'm having trouble inserting a suppository on my 'recipient' because he keeps clenching his cheeks.

is there any way to get him to stop or loosen up? i already tried to ask him to relax. his (my sons) doctor said he must have a suppository atleast once every 2 days for the next week and a half.

Well my son was born with a speech disorder ( stuttering ) and came home today crying because he claimed that his peers were teasing him and making fun of him. Because I was in a rush at the moment I wasn't able too see the kids who were bothering him, I simply had to go. He is still crying and I can't get him to stop. Now he isn't crying like making a scene, he's crying to himself and is trying to hide it. I tried telling him to ignore them but he keeps on telling me about how they wer copying his stuttering. Now I'm wondering if I should go to the school and set up a meeting with the kids and their parents or If I should just tell my child to accept being judged and teased. I would really hate to lose a day's pay for this noncess but it seems like its the right thing to do. How bad could these little 3rd graders be? Please help.

What are some things to do in Christainsburg or Blacksburg Virginia that would be educational for an 8 year old? I want to send him down to visit his father and grandparents but he will only be excused from school if there is some sort of educational value. Any "real" ideas would be great! I don't wanna hear any stupid sh** like sexual stuff, I'm talking about my kid here so please respect that!!!

I live in Georgia and ive had someone tell me that when your child is 8 years old they can stay at home by themselves for up to 4 hours.
Is this true?!? My daughter is almost 8 and i cant see leaving her at home by herself at this age.
What are the laws about this?

I am at my wits end with this child. Some examples of the behavior that drives me crazy : if he is told he can't have something (candy, other treats) he waits until I'm not looking, takes it anyway and hides the evidence in his pillow case. He has a list of chores to do every night that he only partially completes. I have to literally stand over him and watch his every move to make sure all his chores get done which is impossible because i have 2 other younger children that need my attention too. When he is told to take a shower he hops in, gets wet, then hops out. I thought he was old enough to shower by himself, he needs the privacy, but then he never washes himself. He lies constantly about the smallest things, ("Did you wash your face?" "yes" he replies with a milk mustache. I am tired of fighting with him every night to get him to do what needs to be done. I don't think 8 is too young to have some household responsibilities. How do I get him to respect my rules?

My Son is 15 years old in 9th grade he is failing 4 out of 7 classes. He has 4 Fs, 2 Ds and a C. I have tried everything to motivate him. I have grounded him, taken away privileges, tutoring, everything. He just does not care. He does not have a learning disability, he is just lazy. He does not fear consequences and says that "school is not for him". HELP ME! I'm raising a LOSER.

for those that have children but arent with the mother/father. when you need the other parent to watch the child for the night or the weekend and you have a date but you dont feel comfortable telling the other parent thats what you are doing, do you have a hard time finding an excuse or do you tell them the truth? do you find it hard to tell them that you have a boyfriend or girlfriend and that you have no desire to be with them in anyway again?

How old is too old to be your child?? My 13 year old son is very disrespectful to me and my husband. He curses us out, spits on us and even beats us with our own personal collection of whips and chains. I have asked him very nicely on several occasions to stop disrespecting us but he refuses. Should I take a belt to his behind or just accept as a boy being a boy? Please help me I need your advice??

To all parents out there...
I'm not posting this to sell books. I am a stay at home mom that needed a boost in my parenting of my CRAZY 4 year old son. I'm just wanting to help out some other moms or dads out there that may be needing the same guidance I needed. I always like to read a well written book.

With that said:
If you use Time outs as a method of discipline, please read this book. I ordered it from Amazon.com for like $10 and I read it in 1 night. It teaches you how kids will manipulate you in timeouts, and out. Also,it explains how to do effective timeouts, to stop bad behaviors, and start good behaviors. I thoroughly recommend this book to every parent out there.
My son has changed like night/day in a matter of 1 day, after I read the book. So either check it out at your library or buy it !!!!

Thanks for your time!! :)

Did you all hear about the scandelous marriage of Britney "not that innocenet" Spears and Kevin "chimmy chimmy coco puff" Federline are getting a divorce. LOL It's about time! She's better off w/out him. That loser can't turn ANY publicity into good publicity for himself! He'll be forgotten soon as the divorce settlement is final.
Prediction: Fed-Ex on VH1 next year in that "reality" show that features all the D-listers.
Get this! He is asking her for spousal support! lol He needs to go get an education, get a real job, become independent and support himself; instead of leaving Britney at home changing babies diapers and he spends 3 hours getting his hair braided. LOL Spousal support is bullshit! Child support is neccessary! It's for the children. I hope Brit gets sole custody of her children and kfed is slammed with Child Support.
Just my 2 cents. How do you think the case will go?

I'm in my 36th week this week, for you women who experienced this pain how long did you feel this before the baby came? Throughout my pregnancy I would feel pains but then they would go away and this one hasn't yet. I don't feel any muscle uncomfortableness inside just the bone pain and thigh pain.

We have 3, 2yrs and under. We decided that we were done when our youngest was born. My husband says he wants to get fixed, but never gets around to making the appointment. In the mean time we've been using condoms.
The last 3 times we've had sex it's been in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning, I wake up to him already going for it.
Well when he's done I realize NO CONDOM!
What the hell? I asked him if he wants more kids and he says no, but then why is he doing this?

My mom & step dad are wanting to adopt, but its so expensive. It ranges from like $20,000 to $50,000 if not more in some cases. Why does adoption cost so much? If it wasn't so expensive more kids would be able to have a good home!

I became stepdad to two great boys when ythey were 5 and 7. NOW they are 13and 15 and can do nothing but make fun of me and deliberatly disrespect me verbally and by laughing or making little comments. Their mother has done all she can. We understand since she is their natural parent that discipkine should be from her. She's constantly in the middle trying to smooth it all out and discipline them, as well we havea 4 and five year old daughters together. We don't want to make the boys feel unloved but all we can do lately is tell them how disrespectful they are being. We are patient & make it extremely clear at the exact moment it is happening what is unacceptable--we get an "OKAY" with a forced apology. It still continues....it's affecting the peace in the home. All I feel like doing is giving a good butt whoopin! We also understand how there might be resentment now that they getting older about step dad not being the biological dad but wishing theire real dad was there.

I've created a character called Super Mom but I need to give her a good catch-phrase to say when she transforms from regular mom, Sally Smith, into SUPER MOM! For instance, Billy Batson says, "Shazam!" to change into Captain Marvel. The only idea I've come up with is lame, it's "By the power of pinesol!" Can you give any better ideas. Thanks in advance! I'm hoping my creation will be a tribute to all you unsung heroines of Amercia, the Mommies! And I'm gonna get a real woman to play her, not a toothpick size actress!
