is born?? My hubby and I are expecting our 2nd baby and he has a son from his first marriage, some one told him that he will need to report to the child support as soon as the baby is born so they can make modifications on his payments... My questions in will child support run his SS# to see where he still works and how much he earns or he will just need to take his check stubs and that will be it? The thing is he is planning on getting a second job but he doesn't know if this will affect by child support taking away more or how does it work ??? Any advices on what to do or what to preceed???? Thanks !!!

I was pregnate and lost my son at 19 weeks. I had to deliver him vaginaly. He would have been a year old next month and I think about him all the time. My husband is wanting to have another baby but I am so scared too. I do want one but I am afraid that I will go through what I did last time. He was to be my first child. We had a name that we really liked and all the stuff that we had bought for him. If we are to have another baby and it happens to be a boy would you use the same name or would you use a different name? Plus, how long did it take after your mis-carriage for you to have another baby?

It's a complicated situation. My mother asked my if her boss of 15 years could borrow my 7 year old son's old baby crib and changing table that I had stored in the basement. My fiance and I weren't planning on having more children, so I told my mom her boss could borrow the crib for his grandchild and give it back when finished. Then a year and a half later I fall pregnant. When I asked my mom to get the crib back from her boss she said she couldn't ask him that b/c they still use it for their grandchild and she said her boss does so much for her she just can't ask him for it right now and that she will buy me a new one. Problem is I don't want a new one, I have the matching dresser and toybox at home, I want mine back before my new baby gets here!!! How can I ask for the crib back without pissing anyone off (mom or her boss) ? or should I allow her to buy me a new crib?

Is 38 too old to have a baby for the 3rd time? I have three children age 18, 12 & 1. Recently a few people have just assumed that I am the baby's grandparent. Talk about being embarrassed!!
I think they just assumed because I don't think I look old...have no wrinkles, am slim, 5'11", dress stylish etc. Has anyone out there had similar experiences and what are the opinions out there about older women having babies?

My friend told me that his sister started when her son was five months. My friend has been known to lie, and I can't imagine how this could be possible.
So, if anyone has done this with there child please tell me how you did this or tell me if this is completely impossible.

I don't mean to be rude but I don't see what the big deal is. Almost half of the people on the planet can become pregnant and the process of becoming pregnant is both fun and easy to accomplish for most women. Sure, babies look cute at first but the majority of them grow up to become normal, boring adults. You should also think of the impressionable young women who may be on here and then want to become pregnant when they are not prepared to do so. I suppose it has something to do with being a guy but perhaps someone could explain this to me.

My first day of my last period was june 6, 2006 which then my due date should be around the 15th or so but my doctor has me for the 23rd of march. I can't figure it out and if I went by his due date it wouldn't match up with june 6, 2006 it would be much later.

Do you feel that's it's okay to spank your children as a form of capital punishment (keep in mind, I say spanking, not beating. Spanking as defined as a controlled swat to the buttocks region).

I let my husband name our daughter. I actually liked the name he picked. However, when it came time to fill out the information for the birth certificate, he spelt her name wrong. Her name is Asia. He spelt it Ajaiah. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to spell Asia differently?

I recently heard about my high school in my small town located in Southwest Virginia having a much higher teen pregnancy than the years I went from 1998-2002. And also in my regions there's a lot people getting married young, under the age of 25, sometimes under the age of 20. And I know the national average is 25 or more to get married. And I'm not sure but apparently teen pregnancy rates are up. So anyway how does your region (city, state, county, etc) measure up?

My ex-girlfriend is 3 months pregnant with my baby. I've tried everything to be with her, but she loves another man and wants nothing to do with me. She is 22, and I'm 26. I'm currently in college to be an elementary school teacher and have my own apartment, she works a 9-5 and lives with her parents. I want custody, or at least joint custody of our baby. Also, I would love for the baby to have my last name, but she is the unwed mother, so I believe it's her call? I don't know what I should do. Should I get a lawyer and go after her, if so, now or after the baby is born? Do I not get a lawyer and approach a different way? What are my chance if I do this? What happened to you in your situation? If you've been in this situation or know, please help me. I'm also aware that state laws vary, we live in New York. Thanks for your advice in advance!

My friend is pregnant with her third child and her fiance does not make enough money to pay all the bills and groceries and gas for the car. she gets WIC, but it's not enough for all the food they need. you cannot live on eggs and cheese and milk. they need some kind of fruit and vegetables and meat, but they can't afford it. they have 100 dollars left after bills, and they need food and gas so he can get back and forth to work everyday. they need help! what can i do? what can they do? where can they get financial assistance?

My husband and I had our first baby (a girl) in early August. We tried for two years to get pregnant, and were ecstatic to find out about her.

Now, she's five months old, and I am pregnant AGAIN (not on purpose!). I very much want to be happy, but I'm more afraid, than anything. I understand -- more than anyone -- that babies are a blessing, but I just am not prepared to be, uh, blessed again so soon. This means I'll have to go back to work six months early (in Canada we get a year mat leave) so that I can get enough hours at my job to take a second mat leave with the new baby. My husband (thank heavens!) is able to take paternity leave to watch our daughter.

My problem: the guilt about going back to work and leaving my baby girl, and the guilt about not being totally thrilled about Baby #2! I had always wanted 2 kids. Why am I so afraid? My husband is okay with it. Why can't I be more excited? What's wrong?

Has this happened to anybody else? Any advice?
