He didn't seem to mind being in the car seat before, but now that he's changed from rear-facing to front facing he hates it!

He used to sleep through the night until he got croup about 3 mo ago. Since then he usually woke up a couple times a night. It was getting better, but then last week he started waking up every 2-3 hrs. The only way he will settle down is to nurse. I've tried all sorts of things, so he doesn't think he needs to eat every time he wakes up. I've tried his pacifier and music and lights thing and rubbing his back and cheek while in his crib still, but he just screams. I've tried rocking him and walking around with him, nothing. The only way he will stop crying and go back to sleep is when I break down and let him nurse. Once he is asleep I tried letting him sleep with us, which usually makes him sleep longer, but didn't work this week. His dad has even tried the same things, thinking it was maybe just me, but same thing, I ended up having to let him nurse. Is this maybe just a growth spurt or is this going to continue until I change something? Any help is appreciated.

My daughter is 8 months and has gone past that feeding stage where she likes purees etc, she wants toast, fingerfood, lumpy (very) food and ideally our food...we have started serving dinner at a time so she can have alittle bit with us before bedtime and i have cooked some simple but good meals (obvioulsy without salt, sugar, ect) and she loooves eating with us...But now im running out of ideas of what to make and what to give her...i prefer to cook than give her ready meals and it seems like she prefers that too..

On the Baby Einstein viedo - Baby's First Moves - they show a one or two year old jumping on a trampoline that was obviously designed for kids of that age. Does anyone know where I can buy one of those? I have 11 month old twins that would love to (highly supervised) play on something like that. :)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

My 7 week old daughter keeps throwing herself back and arching her back afte rthe first 2-3 oz, then I try to give her the bottle again and she keeps doing like she doesn't want it but she keeps sucking like she does. I thought maybe it could be gas so I give her some Mylicon, but usually she still keeps doing this, What is this about?

My 10 month old baby has only been breastfed and has 9 teeth. I have had a few minor biting injuries before, but right now both nipples are injured due to him biting, and its so bad that I am trying not to cry every time he nurses. Because of this I am tense and I suspect that he is not getting as much milk as normal.
So I went to the Dr. for a 9 month check up a couple weeks ago and she suggested that I switch to formula or WHOLE MILK, becuase we have tried formula in the past and he would not drink it. She said that as long as I make sure he gets enough iron in his diet,( he is eating baby food with cereal 4 times a day), that he will be fine with out formula or breastmilk.
Okay, so here's my question, has anyone switched to whole milk before their baby was a year? I really don't want suggestions on the biting because I have tried everything, and in truth I am just done breatfeeding. I am a full time student and don't have the time or patience to pump.

My baby is a 2 month old and breastfed.

On the recommendation of my doctor I put a drop of orange juice in some water for my baby who hadn't pooped in 6 days. It worked within about 15 minutes - she filled her nappy. The poop was soft and light brown.

Anyway - then she didn't go again for 7 days!! So I've put a small drop of orange in some water again and it cleared her out within minutes.

In those seven poopless days, I had done baby massage and 'taking the temperature' etc... nothing worked.

How long should I wait this time - I don't want to keep putting juice in her water to make her bowels move - but she was getting to the point of crying and straining all of the time because she was trying to poo.

On a side note: She is getting enough liquids because she's soaking her nappies many times a day. She's a very content baby other than the pooping issue - it's just when she's trying to poo that she gets crying and straining.

Your advice is appreciated!

My baby is 8 months old now. She is on carnation good start soy formula. I started her on baby cereal at 4 months, and at 6 months I first tried giving her pudding. She broke out with a rash. At 7 months we tried cottage cheese, again a rash. I tried once again with stage 3 lasagnia, a rash again. I have concluded that my baby cannot have milk. So what can I give her to substitute so that she isn't losing out on her calcium and the added fat in milk?

So now she throws all her food off her highchair.

She is ten months, nearly eleven and since solids started at 29 weeks, hasn't ever used a spoon to eat, just feeds herself table food with her fingers. Only now she's learned to throw she throws her food onto the floor! For fun!

She doesn't seem hungry and like I say I've never fed her or forced her to eat, but she's wasting a lot of food! I can't afford for her to be throwing strips of chicken, avocado etc, on the floor for the dog!!!

Any ideas as to how I can get her back to eating what I give her? She is still having 4-5 milk feeds a day so won't be lacking nutrition. Thanks.
