My 7 week old daughter keeps throwing herself back and arching her back afte rthe first 2-3 oz, then I try to give her the bottle again and she keeps doing like she doesn't want it but she keeps sucking like she does. I thought maybe it could be gas so I give her some Mylicon, but usually she still keeps doing this, What is this about?

She may have Gastroesophageal Reflux. Like bad heartburn that babies often have. I would talk to the Pediatrician about it they can do tests to see. For now, try feeding her so that she is in more of an upright position and keep her upright for 20 - 30 mins afterwards. Many babies at least have a touch of this.

Could be gas but it could be that she is full. My 10 week old still only normally eats 3 oz at a time, with the occasional 4 oz bottle and sometimes he just wants a snack of 2 oz.

Babies have an intense need to suck though so a pacifier might be needed or you will have to show her where her thumb is.

Also make sure you burp her more often if it is gas, some babies need to be burped every ounce, some can handle a couple ounces before needing to be burped.

it sounds like gas, she wants to suck for comfort but doesn't want to eat. try massaging her tummy in a heart shape using a downward motion or lay her on her back and bicycle her legs. She might also be a bit constipated. you can always call the doc anytime you are concerned. Mylicon isn't always enough to help

2-3 oz for a 7 week old sounds like she's taking enough, just as long as she's being feed every 2-4 hrs.
If she continues to suck, you should give her a pacifier.. i know alot of parents are against this, but as long as you dont give it to her at all times, she won;t become dependant on it... hope that helped

Its gas try feeding her with your bare belly against her bare belly the warmth will help settle her stomach.... Mylicon doesn't always work with the first dose...

Talk to her doctor. Maybe she is having a reaction to the formula. Maybe she is lactose intolerant.
