I am 8 1/2 months pregnant ,i have tried to put foil in the bassinett to deter him, however he thought it was a fun shiny toy and ripped the foil and crib sheet to pieces! i am afraid he will try to jump in there once she is born, he is very cuddly so i am also afraid that he will try to sleep in there with her and accidentally suffocate her. Help!

Honestly .. i don't mean to offend but truthfully Its so sad. I see them trying to sneak into a movie theater hoping they wont wake up from the noise. And well to me, i look at this way. Kids arent going to always be innocent and sweet. They grow up to lie and hurt other people. I just dont feel it. Its like couples make such a big deal over a child...they tell everyone they know they are having a child and its just so pointless ....having kids she they can one day leave you .....forget you.....lie to you....even if a child is raised in a good home they still are flawed ...Kids are expensive too...and they scream and cry all the time. They ask to many questions ..and you do hardly anything when you have a kid ..and i truly resent the people that bring their infants into a movie....and then they start crying!!!!!! ITS NOT YOUR LIVING ROOM!!! Go home....jezz again, im not trying to hurt anyone feels ..but really a baby is NOT all that exciting..buy a new car or a home is!

For a week now my 6 month old had dribbled constantly had a continuosly runny nose and now has diarrhea ! He does 3 poos a day and they are all very runny. When I started weeing him we were getting solid cow- pat like poos, and now they have changed. I have taken him to the GP who was little help and said it was teething ! Do I need to cut down on weening foods for a while ? Is there anything I can give him to help regain his normal poos ? How long will this go on for ? His little bum looks so sore !

It seems he only wants his bottle. every once in awhile he will open his mouth for the baby ceareal or the sweet potatoes, but it is always a struggle at first. I asked his pediatrician if he is even ready for solids since it doesn't seem that he is taking to it. she said no he is ready. If any of you mommies have been through the same thing or know of anything I can do. any advice would be appreciated.

I guess I should say I have tried all different kinds of foods. and different textures too and still it has not helped. :(

Bless my little girl, but she is only 10 days old and although she is my third child, the other two slept well when I got them h ome. Just wondering if anyone out there notices that their baby sleeps all day and is awake all night (well till 5am this morning) - how did you try and change it round, also did you try and keep them awake for certain times in the day. I have tried, but she is very sleepy. Any advise would be appreciated.

It used to just happen at night but it is now happening in the day.
It can get quite scarey as he sometimes cant catch his breath and i need to pat his back quite hard.
He has on occasions gone very red with his eyes watering, and has even gone blue a few times.

He is 8 weks old.
I have told every health proffesional i have seen, even had a stay in the hospital.
He didnt do it in hospital so they didnt wittness it.
As soon as we returned home it started again.
Is it the air in my home? My house sometimes smells damp but we dont actually have mildrew growing anywhere, not even in the bathroom.

Has anyone else experienced this?
What was it?
Its scarey, we are not sleeping, Should we get a humidyfier?
Any ideas??
Please....

ps i have 3 other children and never experienced anything like this:0(

I am looking for some advice on how to help my baby sleep better. I used to give him a dummy and rock him to sleep in my arms but i just took the dummy off him 3 days ago and have seen a little improvement and stopped holding him to sleep but know i rock him in the pram to go to sleep. My question is how to teach him to go to sleep by himself without leaving him to cry as i am against the control crying method i think it's mean. I would love to start getting some sleep as my 2 1/2 year old daughter is very active. Also i live in Australia and we are able to give our babies solids at 4 months old, i just started yesterday to give him a little farex and i gave him a bottle at 10pm last night and he slept till 4am but would like him to go a bit longer, Will solids help? When can i give him 2 solids a day?

My son is almost 8 months old and has nursed since birth. Over the past few months he has not been gaining the weight that he should, but within the last month he only gained 5 oz. when he should have gained a pound. I have to introduce formula and just started yesterday but I can only get him to eat it thickened with rice cereal. I need him to drink it so that he can eat food like before. I need to get creative but don't know what to do. Any other moms have similar problems what did you try? Please help I need my son to gain some weight. I don't plan on quitting breastfeeding but my milk supply is definitely low and my son needs to grow so please don't bash me for supplementing.

BTW he will not take a bottle and will only take sips with a cup. As soon as he tastes it he pushes it away. He is way too young for whole milk so please don't suggest that. Thanks in advance.

i have a 4 month old daughter, she is 23.5 inches tall and 23 pounds. everyone is telling me she is over fed. i was only feeding her 4 ounces every 3 hours during the day and 6-8 hours at night. so about 4 ounces 6 times a day= 24ounces in 1 day. now i have been giving her 5 ounces every 3 hours and 6-8 at night. so 6 feeding of 5 ounces= 30 ounces in 1 day. i heard it wasnt over feedint till 36 ounces. i am 16 years old n very inexperienced with babies, so i dont kno if there is something i am doing wrong. starting recently she has been getting 4 maybe 5 ounces of formula, a little bit of cereal, and some baby fruit... but not a lot and not everyday. i dont want to starve her but i never thought i would be over feeding her. someone please HELP!!!

I gave birth on August 16th and had to be stiched because I had a tear. It's been 4 weeks and I have a pain in my butt (tailbone?) when sitting and standing for prolonged time. Also, I don't think I'm healing properly, I have few stiches poped and I have exposed bulging tissues sticking out of my vagina.... The doctor said it's normal and I can have it fixed when I have another baby, but I don't feel comfortable with that answer. DId anyone had similiar issue and what did you do?

Or did I just wait to long?

My son is between 23-25 lbs & I want to get him a jumper (which I would actually hang from a beam), but I can't find one that'll hold a baby over 25lbs.
