My baby girl was born on August 22,07 she is a little over 3 weeks I still feel sore down there, and I also have quite a bit of pain when I have a bowel movement and there is blood when I wipe....Is this normal? How long does it take to fully recover and heal? Is is a little longer since I had an episiotomy? Im a little scared and since Im a first time mommy I not sure if this is normal or not.

I have a 10 month old son and when I hold him, he likes to
suddenly scratch my face! He then smiles and tries to do
it again and again. Even if I yell at him or slap his hand (gently)
he still does it. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

I've started to wean my 13 month old but it hasn't been easy..
I've gradually cut 3 times a day feedings to just 1 at night.

He has a milk allergy so he can't have cow's milk. I've tried different types of soy milk but he won't take them. I've tried juices but he still wont take any of it.. For some reason he'll take water but that just won't cut it nutrition wise.

Is there anything I can do so he will take more fluids?

I'm 22 years old. I have 2 children. a 2 year old & a 5 month old. Before either one of my pregnancies I was 132lbs 5'4 & very athletic. I had a flat stomach & ran track in high school. After my first child I lost all but 4 lbs. so I was 136lbs. Now after my 2nd child, I am 150lbs and 5'5. I would like to atleast get back down to 132lbs but can't figure out how to lose the last 15 or so lbs. I don't have a sitter so I can't just go running like I used to. What exercises can I do to lose my belly fat & hips? Also.. any good meals such as low carb or low calorie foods that help? Should I try lean cuisine? Please help!!!!

Caregiver fell yesterday and my 3 1/2 month old son hit his head hard. Nurse line said not to worry but we could take him to the doc to check it out. We did. They sent us for an x-ray. Doc called this morning and said he has a skull fracture but not to worry because he is acting fine, eating, smiling, etc. Now we have a follow-up appt. with a neurosurgeon just to make sure everything is fine. Please let me know if you have ever had this happen, or have someone who has, what you did and how things turned out. I'm a new mom and scared and very angry right now.

i have to give him saline nose drops. I asked my doctor about it but he just said it was mucous from when he was born still in his nose and throat. I don't think he really knew what he was talking about because my son still has this problem at four months old!! I will be going to see him again, but has this happened to anyone else's children? If so what was the cause? Thanks for your comments.

My 4 month old baby girl sleeps much better when we prop her up on one of those maternity 'v-shape' pillows but when we lye her down flat she wriggles around a lot more which wakes her up.....

We only let her sleep with the pillow whilst sat next to her on the sofa or lying on the bed so she's always safe but I was wondering what age is it suggested to be safe to let a baby have a pillow ?

My newborn (5 weeks old) seems to always need to poo and he seems to have a lot of trouble with the pains before hand. He often strains and brings his legs up etc and is unsettled hours before a poo actually comes out and when it does, it is explosive most of the time. He is fully breastfed and I was wondering if it could be something I am eating? What foods and drinks should I avoid? The only foods that I eat every single day are apples, bananas and porriage. Otherwise, it's all varied. I think he has alot of wind, particulary in the afternoons.

Hey everyone,

I've been breastfeeding my daughter for 15 months now and my mom told me I should quit. She love to eat so she not hungry but still wants me to breastfeed her. She can't fall asleep with out me feeding her. I didn't think there is much to help her grow. And my hair is still falling out! I lose about 1/3-1/2 of my hair already. Please is there any tips to quit? And is my hair ever going to grow back and when?

Thanks!
-Chu

I have a two month old baby who for the first 6 weeks did great at bedtime, but lately he really fights sleep at bedtime. Some nights it takes us several hours to get him to sleep. He doesnt sleep to much during the day about three hours (which is really not alot for a baby his age) and he sleeps at daycare even when there are several kids crying in the room. I work at the daycare so I know they r not letting him sleep in the swing and anything so everything that works at daycare were trying at home but we still have no success. Any suggestions??? Please??
