A baby has a large surface area in comparison to its mass. Thus heat escapes more readily.
This is critical in the newborn period, and especially in premature infants. Hence they are immediately put in a warm blanket or under a radiant heater.

did ur baby got shot? that is cause of why they get fever or temperture down from the shot or they have a bad cold ?.... make sure ur baby does wear warm clothes or any clothes with depend on the weather and make sure ur baby does not around sick people... if they want to hold they had to wash hand or wear mask.. thats best

It doesn't usually go lower than normal. If it does, your baby may be cold! But most thermometers require you to add a degree or two of the actual reading.
