Different pace for different babies. My son started being on all fours at 3 months old. He would move forward like a worm. By 4 months he started crawling.
By 6 months i put him in the walker.
By 10 months he refused walker and started to hold the sides a lot and crawl a lot. (walker doesnt offer much freedom)
By 12 months he started making baby steps. Letting go of the side tables and started taking 3 steps at a time.
Now 13 months old he is walks 22 steps each time. Making progress everyday.

What i did was when he was laying on his back, each morning i would tickle the soles of his feet to stimulate that part of his feet. I also did some cycling exercise for his legs.

Every baby is different, some crawl early and some crawl later. My daughter didnt start crawling until she was like 7 or 8 months. She was talking before she started walking. She didnt start walking until she was 14 months, she started talking when she was about 12 months, and she started really knowing when she needed to go the potty when she was about 22 months. Each child is different. Don't push them.

I asked this question recently and I will summarize the answers I got and also what has worked.

Ofcourse there was the most true one of all: Cherish the immobile times now.

And also, I hear, have read, and have seen about 7 to 10 months-ish. You definitely can start helping to develop those much needed back and arm muscles now though, even working on balance is important. Have tummy time at least daily and prop baby up with a boppy. Help baby to practice sitting up, you can even use a feeding type of chair. Baby needs to be sitting up by itself THEN it'll crawl from the sitting position. Keep baby active and the crawling will follow... Good job mom, thinking ahead, I like your style!

All babies develop at a different rate, but many start to crawl at about 6-7 months.

Average is about 8-9 months for crawling. Some crawl as early as 6 months, and some never crawl. Just give him as much tummy time as possible and toys just out of his reach so he has to work to get to them.

Don't rush him. You have lots of time.

My boy didn't start crawling until he was nine months and then he did it all at once. There was no dragging or creeping he just up and went one day.

Enjoy knowing that if you put your baby down in one place he'll be there when you come back from the bathroom. It doesn't last long.

Embrace every moment, it will be different from the next.

Sounds general actual for a 2d sibling. don't be too upset nonetheless if he stops attempting those issues for some months, babies are born with an instinct to pass which disappears whilst they get to eight-10 weeks. regardless of the undeniable fact that it does mean that he would start up those issues back before than the conventional age for those milestones. it won't result his strengthen or muscle progression if he's ending up those projects devoid of help or help from an person. It purely ability that he's truly stable and has sturdy co-ordination. purely enable him do what he desires to do and luxuriate in it!
