I'm not having kids...ever.
Yet I do respect those who want to have children.
And yes, they do get excited.
Yes, it can be annoying. But it's their choice and if they are overly happy, that's fine.
Besides seeing friends and family elated and ecstatic makes me happy.
I'm happy for them.
(Though, like I said before, it can be a bit too much listening to them cooing and raving about their parenthood...
But it's a two-way street, I guess it can be a bit too much for them to listen to my own rantings!)
I'm a happy childless person who respects those with children.

Well I don't sneak my baby anywhere. I just take him. If he wakes up I walk out with him. No big deal.
You already seem to have your own problems and do not need to bring children into the world until you work them out. Having my son changed mine and my husbands life. My son is the only person in the world that can make me laugh and smile when the whole world seems to be falling apart. Get some help. Every baby is a miracle and deserves to be loved and cherished and I'm sorry that you weren't. Maybe your mom had issues just like you.

Because people that choose to have a child ARE excited about it? You don't like children and that's fine, opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one.
Taking an infant to the movies isn't them "so excited over having a baby" it seems you are disgruntled over one thing and decided to make a blanket statement that really didn't make sense. Be upset over the infant in the movie (hell even parents might be upset over that) but don't meld it into ZOMG ALL KIDS SUCK type thing. It just makes you seem judgemental.

Because the people that do know that life isn't all about themselves. They throw their selfishness aside and look to love this new life that they have created. What would be better, no children and the whole earth just die off and everyone ceases to exist? Everything you have listed is so selfish, selfish, selfish! A car and a house is nothing compared to a human life, and it is sad that you do not see that. Do you see any value or joy in your own existence? What a sad life you may lead, most likely tainted by your past. Have you thought about going to counseling/therapy to deal with the hurt from your past. Life will be a lot more enjoyable!

I'm sorry you had a bad experience in life with your parents. It's not the case for all of us. I have wonderful loving parents, and they adore my three month old daughter. My whole family gets together regularly to eat, talk and laugh.
I hate to tell you, but family and friends are all there is in this life. New cars and new homes are soulless, empty, inanimate objects and can't make you happy. The first time my baby daughter made eye contact with me and smiled, I realized that everything else...material possessions...are nothing.
You sound like you need the attention of a mental health professional.

Well I totally understand you and I felt like that about babies too. But I realized that having a child is a beautiful thing. Its the creation of 2 people that love eachother. Thats why its so special to couples. Even though their child can grow up and do bad things, its alright because nobody is perfect. And everyone makes mistakes, but they will always love their child no matter what because of the fact that its their child and they made it. Do you get me? Well just trying to help you out. Hope you get the point. : )

Not everyone is meant to be a parent.
If you go to a movie and an infant is crying, i would think you could ask an usher to tell the parents to leave. You paid for the movie too.

I agree that it's pretty effing stupid to bring a baby to a movie and stuff like that, yes it's rude. But honestly, why do YOU care so much about whether people are excited about having babies?
Sounds to me like you're probably sterile and trying to speak lowly of people who can reproduce and keep the human population going on.
You can think what you think, but having a baby is truly the biggest blessing in the world. You, of course won't ever realize that, because you're too ignorant and have shoved your head too far up your own *** to make sense of the miracle of life.
Grow up.

Movie theaters, by the way, are public venues. Everyone who can pay, should be able to go. There is reallly not a single thing in life that gives permanent happiness. However, family gives one a lifeline, people that you can hopefully always count on to love you no matter what you do or say. Clearly this is not the case in every family, but this is the goal when one starts one.

well you obveously knew if you asked this question in the pregnancy and parenting section you were going to offend people. Yes; kids are trouble makers, yes they are loud and obnoxous and one day they leave you and grow up and might even become someone people dont like, BUT it would be very sad if someone decided not to have a child because they might do or be those things. If you personally dont want a kid, dont have a kid, thats your right, but i cannot wait to have my baby, and its brought my whole family together, and me and my fiancee are loving this whole experience.

I didn't want kids either. I thought they were boring, cost too much, and prevented you from doing things you wanted.
Then I had my first and my whole world changed.
You can't possibly know until you have one how a baby will change your entire life. It's a miracle. Why do you think people keep having more?
You might appreciate a movie called Waitress, it will give you some perspective on what it's like not to want children and then how your world changes.
