ok my daughter is seven and a half months old. She sits up very well. when i give her a bath she is sitting in her tube by her self (with me standing there of course).. but when i got to wash her hair ... she panics... when i pour the water it goes in her eyes and mouth and she starts crying and kicking and trying to pull herself up on me... is every baby like is? do i just have to wait till she is older to understand to close her eyes or put her head down or up whatever. Any tips on making bath time easier lol

I am in High School and I need to start thinking about careers. I want to go to college and I LOVE babies. I was thinking maybe a neonatologist or a neonatal nurse. I would really like to be one of the nurses that takes care of the newborn babies in the maternity ward. Like the ones that change them and take care of the healthy ones. I would like to be looking after healthy babies, because seeing a baby die or be very sick would just break my heart, but I think it would be worth it in the long run to get to be with babies. Any other job suggestions? Please help, I am very serious about a career in infant care.

i thought for sure our son would get brown eyes, his dad has brown eyes, and so do both of his parents and his sister, my dad has brown eyes, and so does my brother. my mom has green.

so far, our son still has dark blue eyes around the outside, and a lighter greyish-blue around the inside. he is 3 1/2 months old. do you think if they were going to be brown, they would have changed by now?

it doesn't matter to me what colour they end up, i'm just curious.
lol, thanks for any feedback :o)

I want to use cloth all the time.

My husband doesn't mind using cloth during the daytime, but he does not feel comfortable using cloth at night. He thinks they will leak.

I don't want those disposable chemicals against my baby's skin.

The question is this: Can I use a cloth diaper against my baby's skin and then put a disposable over the cloth diaper, which would basically cause the disposable diaper to act as my diaper cover. This would make me happy (cloth against my baby's skin) and make my husband happy (added protection of a disposable at night).

Does anyone think this would work or does the disposable fit too snug for a cloth diaper to fit under it. If so, would a larger size solve the problem or would the larger size cause more leg leaks.

Any thoughts would be great.

I'm thinking of using a breastpump but I don't like the bottles that come with it. Is there any reason why I can't just pour the milk into another bottle after it's expressed?

I have heard it is more tramatic getting them circumcised later but I really haven't had the chance to do it till now. Has anyone had a baby 6 months or older circumcised? Did anybody experience any problems from the baby being older when it was performed? Someone also told me the baby would have to be put under general anestisia cause he is so old, anybody know if this is true?

My 2 month old daughter is most content in her swing. When she cries I pick her up, feed her, change her and do other activities, but the majority of the day she likes to be in her swing. Can this cause brain damage, vision problems, behavior problems or any other issues that anyone might be aware of?

My 4 1/2 month old daughter is sleeping on her belly every night now. Every morning I have to change her sheets and everything because they are wet. She sleeps 10-12 hours a night. Is there a better diaper that absorbs better in the front that I should try? I use Huggies now and I'm tired of everything being soaked every morning. Thanks in advance!!!

My son is almost 8 months old and still isn't crawling. He tries like crazy but he just can't seem to master it. He can work his hands right, and he can work his legs right, but not at the same time. When he's on his hands his legs just lay there but then when his legs start going he lays his hands to his sides and starts scooting on his nose! However he shows a lot of interest in standing and walking. He can stand by himself for a couple of seconds before his balance goes, so its not actually his legs that give out and collapse its just that he doesn't have the balance thing down yet. So do you think he may skip crawling and just start walking instead? Should I be worried about his not crawling yet or is this normal?

My eight month old daughter has met all other developmental milestones either on time or ahead of time. The one area that I'm concerned about is her language. She seems to understand, as she responds to her name and words such as juice and bottle. However, she hasn't said 'mama' or 'dadda' yet. At times it sounds like she's saying 'yeah'. She has never been quite a talker...I've never heard her say 'ga ga' or anything of the sort. Just babbling with the same intonations of our spoken language. She is very active and is into everything. She has been stimulated with language since she was born, as I am a teacher myself. Am I worrying for no reason? When did your baby say 'mama' and 'dadda' (even if they didn't relate it to the person)? Is there reason to worry?
